New Year’s Eve Is A Day Of Reflection
With 2008 coming to an end, I want people to comment on how this year went for them. From the highs(visiting RealTalkNY) to the lows. What were some highlights for this year and how did this year compare to others?
Also if you have any new year resolutions, feel free to post them. Everybody is going to have to get on thier grind in 2009 with the recession probably getting worse before it gets better.

Happy New Year. 2008 has been a transformational year, both good and bad. Firstly it is very refreshing (as a foreigner) to see Obama elected into the white house. As an African who has lived all around the world (currently in Toronto) i know how hard it is for the black guy with the funny name to make it. I guess i have walked away with a renewed sense of hope in this world and america, so i must congratulate you on that. However as fast as i get to enjoy this hope, it is is taken away and we end the year at a really low point in humanity. After 8 months of relative peace in the Gaza Strip, Israel has started bombing Gaza and Hamas keeps launching Rockets into israel, both sides killing innocent people. If only there was a Obama in every nation, who could bring people together like he has done in the USA, and inspire an entire generation positively, this world would be a better place. I pray that 2009 is a progressive year, for black people, indian people, arabs, jews, asians and whatever colour you may be, lets grow in the spirit of humanity. (a little corny but hey) Happy New Year.

EVERYBODY SAYING IT HOW ITS GONNA BE A GREAT NEW YEAR AND HOW 09 GONNA BE DIFFERENT AND HOW ITS GONNA BE BETTER THEN LAST!!..THEN I HAD A CONVERSATION WIT A FEMALE LAST NIGHT AND SHE SAID SHE DOESN’T BELIEVE IN THAT ITS JUST GONNA BE A REGULAR DAY AND SAME MONTHS ALL OVER AGAIN!..I TOLD HER YEAH THATS IF U JUST SITT AROUND AND DO THE SAME THANG U WAS DOING LAST YEAR OR IF NOT NUTHIN AT ALL!..WHAT MAKES THIS YEAR A GOOD IS YEAR IS ALL UP TO YOU!!…YOU GOTTA MAKE THIS YEAR HOW U WANT IT TO BE SO FOR ME IMA GET BACK IN SCHOOL, GET ON MY GRIND HEAVY KEEP TO MYSELF AND FOCUSED ON MY FUTURE AND WITH A BLACK PRESIDENT I KNOW THAT ANYTHINGS POSSIBLE NO MATTER WHAT COLOR YOU ARE…STAY OUT OF NEGATIVITY BOUT TO DROP MY MIXTAPE THIS YEAR AND GET BACK ON MY MUSIC AND PRODUCING AND BEATMAKING SHIT FOLLOW MY DREAMS AND TURNED THEM TO REALITY!!..I TOOK ALOT OF LOSSESS 08′ I LOST MY HERO MY DAD SEPT 4TH 08 A WEEK LATER FEW MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS GOT ARREST FOR MURDER CHARGES THEY CURRENTLY FACING AND AND COUPLE WEEKS AFTER THAT 2 PEOPLE I KNEW FROM AROUND THE WAY 1 GOT MURDERED AND THE OTHER OVERDOSE! SO I APPRECIATE MY LIFE AND I CHERISH EVER BREATH!!…BEFORE MY DAD DIED HE GOT TO LIVE HIS LIFE TO THE FULLEST CAME FROM NUTHIN TO OWNING 14acres OF LAND AND BENTLYS AND PORSCHES SO HE JUST SHOWED ME ITS ONLY 1 LIFE TO LIVE U GET NO SEQUALS LIVE EACH DAY LIKE ITS YA LAST AND IM BRING THAT WITH ME INTO THIS NEW YEAR!!…I WISH EVERYBODY EVEN REALTALK A BLESSED NEWYEAR LIVE LIFE PROCEED PROGRESS!!…..09 WE MADE IT…….HAPPY NEW YEAR
