Shoot..I mean really, this site is IT.! But If I could Burger King it and have it my way. I would like to see: A monthly updated real streaming player of the new joints, A political Colum every Tuesday in dedication to Obama (about his new moves, economy, plans…etc..), A new layout every Month (color/Graphic), I’d also like to see a LOCAL section-Local news/artists/movement if possible for major cities-LA/NY/CHC/YAY/ATL/VA…etc…WOAH..

youve got a great website already
upgrade the site. Make the content in the middle, make the page really simple—almost like a typical blog. sell both the sides and the top and bottom. The simple sleek style will increase page views
Definetly more media content. Maybe you could hook up with WorldStarHipHop and put a little tracker that adds the newest videos on WSHH website.
You could make a chatroom where you localize things. For instance you could have a main board, but then a regional board (NYC, DC, ChicagoLand, LA, Bay, ATL) so that you drive more people because its like added content for free (on your part). Plus it will allow hiphop heads from different regions to talk to each other about shit they seen from you. You could even allow people to make groups and call it MyBlock groups or whatever where they can have easy access to hiphop orient chatting. But you shouldnt make people do a lot to register because thats what kills the potential of other hiphop chats, you dont need to sell ads to them through registration, you can use the fact that you will have increased and DEDICATED hits to make more cash on general ads
Also you could do a Monthly awards thing. This Months Dumbass Goes to….. This Months Wannabee Thug is….. and have some original content (400-500 word article) that makes people want to read it.
Those are my thoughts dude.

id love to see more interviews with artist or like a section for inspiring rappers to drop their heat and have the realtalk fans listen and leave feedback. its a good way for the people who are tryin to get noticed, actually get noticed. the site is great as it is but you guys are all about introducing new rappers, theyre may be some people who are worthy. keep it up!

The site could use more interviews and insight on people within the industry other than rappers. Producers, Video Directors,A&R reps,Label Executives etc…. I think that’s something that’s missing with all the blogs…exposing the folks who actually make up the industry and make it run.

The site’s colors are nice as is. It would be nice to change the general layout but keep the same colors and spread out everything on the right side of the page. I also think you should get a bigger banner with the name of the site because everytime i’m on the site somebody is always asking me “what site is that?”. A bigger name would answer their questions.

Yea this layout you been rockin with for the past almost two years gotta go. I suggest you keep the layout simple for easy navigation, organize the content more efficiently by getting rid of the whole second page, third page etc thing at the bottom, it is inconvenient to me. Create a separate pages for music, music videos, interviews, fashion, electronics, reviews, vixens, editorial, other than that the site is good. Also launch like a realtalkny radio, a play list, in separate window, of all the hottest songs that visitors can have the option of listening to while browsing the site. Also forums, let readers interact with each other more by creating a forum with various topics like sports, sex, music of course, games, movies, tv shows, hot spots etc…..IDK that’s all I can think of for now…I will come back when I think of more ideas, I want that Zune!!! lol.

back again….you should improve the way we view pictures, instead having us redirected to another page when we click on a picture, just have it pop up while still on the same page. Because if you are like me and have a slow internet connection, then you have to pause videos and wait until it loads…in the meantime you scroll down and see a fine girl that you want see up close and you click on it and get redirected to another page and lose the video that you were waiting on to load…fuck! lol I always do that whenever I’m on here…its aggravating sometimes. yea I know it sounds like a personal problem, maybe I should get a faster internet lol…..but no seriously, Nigel handle that.

me again….you know what would be dope? a RTNY video channel. Like having you own video player,kinda like what perez hilton does with perez tv and put the latest videos up on there. make it embeddable so you can promote RTNY even more. Instead of having other sites video players on your site like youtube or WSHH just have your own and call it a day. maybe you can even make money off of it by putting ads in it like WSHH does.

I have nothing but love for this site. I’ve been watching since when no one left comments at all. Before Rawkus. Back when it was a mere blogspot. What I would like to see in the New Year from this site is a more centralized layout. Less fluff and more stuff. An underground section to shine some light on the “underground cats” or a weekly section on “Whats bumpin’ in my hood” where members can selection what goes hard in their area. How about a chat section for the members? Or Somewhere for members to leave video commentary. Just a few ideas

I’ve been on this site since I was in high school. My crew was all hip hop heads and I remember I was always have 1 up on em when it came to hip hop news/music, etc. In all honesty, I think this site is fine the way it is, but as the guy above me said, it would be awesome to have some merchandise, I would definitely cop a shirt and stickers. the site is good as it is. its easily accessible, and very simple you could just come on here post a comment. you need to figure out how to get your advertisements in order tho its cluttering up the right handside of the page. you been doing such a good i think you know best wat good. but… new ideas wudnt hurt huh? in terms of advertz if you havent already you cud put them in different packages. while im typing you could ave a lil one below the leave a comment disclaimer and work with some programmers to ave it change everytime i refresh the page. if the diggs thing aint making you money or good money for that matter you need to take that off too. ave one every 20 post. ave a lil box like the focus box where the adverts change. just something you uniform like just fit in place. you shud get a designer too to umm… work on some new layouts with scenery of new york and ave it switch up every few days or so, the bridge, liberty, madison square you kno. people like to do business with pretty show pride in the site, make it look it respectable. like wen u get new adverts you kno where to put em and shit and it doesnt change the feel of the site

I would like to see more reviews for more than the obvious mainstream hip-hop artist. The last one posted that i seen was common and before that it was kanye. Maybe it me but i haven’t seen that many review from people from NY let alone one who dropped albums this year. What about underground mixtape circuit or even artist who been in the game and still dropping music. I like the fact that this site it gettin major coverage with the interviews, polls, exclusives and quick updates back to back. Why not pick a day out the week and post some old videos more than rare. Trust me if people love Hip-Hop you will like to see the comments they’ll post when you bring one of those “Awww shyt, that was my song back in the day”.
Merchandise is a good. I dont know how long it would take before you could actually set that up but i’d rock a RTNY shirt or fitted. Some Hip-Hop concept for it if you will (graffiti, t-shirt with a dookie chain & RTNY as the medallion, or hell the site’s logo/banner airbrushed on the shirt like the one above with some hip-hop artist it is good enough for me.)

How i stumbled upon this website was through rawkus.com, which is a site that lets college students listen and download music. What i believe you should do is have a section where college kids from each school have a rap battling section, whereas a student from a certain college makes a video freestyle and put him against another student from a different school, having our online views/subscribers vote for who gets the top spot, leading to either the winner getting a spot on the front page of the website or a prize…..Just one of my many thoughts of improving this website.

I’m definitely going to give some ideas.
-You need a new layout. This one is alright (it’s better than other blogs like Concreteloop where you have ads coming at you every 5 secs) but it needs an update. It needs a fresh look. Change the colors or something. New York doesn’t always have a “gloomy” look. The sun does shine here and the page needs a little “sun”.
-Like I said months ago, remove any unnecessary crap that makes the page more cluttered. Spread this shit out. I don’t understand why you think you don’t have space. I hate going on sites that have things on their page for no reason, even if there is, you should find a way to make it look clean.
-Fix the search engine. Every time I’m looking for something on this site through the engine, my search goes beyond what I was looking for.
-Since this is mostly a music blog rather than a gossip blog, I agree with others who say you should have “sections” or “pages” for certain things. It would be easier navigation for anything music related or just entertainment in general.
-Whoever said he should have a song of the day has a good idea but then again I don’t want to be at work when the page loads and I get unexpected blasted music. Configure that idea if you want though.
-Fix the viewing of pictures.
-You need to be open in terms of interacting with people on this site but it’s not mandatory. I’ve noticed alot of sites like Perez, Concreteloop, and Sandrarose don’t have problems showing us how they really feel or what they even look like. Don’t stress on this though.
Basically, the only thing I want as a dire change is the layout. The site looks like it mainly for dudes but alot of females come here. I don’t really like the whole gray comment box thing. It’s like a man who can’t dress lol.

You should have different sections that filter the blog for certain content so it is still like a blog but only the things you are looking for. A Music Section that is subdivided into songs, music videos, and downloadable mixtapes. A Photo Section subdivided into Vixens and Parties/Music Award. A Review Section subdivided into albums, mixtapes, and movies and everything else. A Pop Culture Section for the movies trailers and random things. And a Fashion Section for different clothing lines.

I would like to see some what of a segregation of the regions (but not in a negative sense). Sometimes, you’ll have people up North who immeditely see a posting from a Southern artist, and automatically remove themselves from the page because they’re tired of hearing about Lil Wayne….. or a dude from down South who might be tired of reading about Crooked I……. Or a West Coast cat who may see someone and doesn’t know what region he’s from but wants to find out. Basically not EVERY aspect of the site needs to be broken up this way, but every now and then have excerpts that specifically target a region and it’s major players. Call it something like “The Shine at Your Border Line” or “Where You From”….. just a little something to show the talents of each region for that period in time. Then switch it up every week or so to highlight a different region until everyone’s had their turn. And NO, I’m not just a New York dude who’s gettin’ agged because the South is gettin all the press…… I’m actually from the South (Texas all my life) but I feel like there’s talent everywhere that’s getting outshined by what’s popular in the moment. I think it could work.

I would love to see the site have a more organized feel. Such as putting everything in categories, ie: Interviews/Music (songs/mixtapes downloads)/Videos/etc..
Also, I’m not a fan of advertisements. I understand the reasoning behind them, & maybe you need them, but I would prefer they weren’t here. Maybe you can offer an alternate version of the site, a version that members would pay for.. have access to instant downloads, things of that nature.
I’m sure people wouldn’t mind paying a few bucks a year for something that is going to be worth it & well received, assuming you’re providing what they’re paying for.

This site is very good already but what it could use is more tabs so u can find what your looking for in that certain section. The home page I feel should stay the same as in the new things at the top and it gets old as u go down. Also try to stick a certain music player or video player but if its not possible we still love what this site is doing. MERRY CHRISTMAS RealTalkNY!!!

When you go to the page it should be broken down into sections. Music, interviews etc. Instead of scrolling down to see all the new stuff. We should be able to chose if we want to hear new music or news stories instead of scrolling down to everything.

Hi,Ive been hitting up Realtalkny 4 amin.I like how the site has evolved and I check the site daily.The first thing I thought of as far as improvements was the layout,but since you are alread doing that I came up with another idea.
I think a section devoted to Mens fashion would be HOTT!!!I love to see what different stars are wearing and whats the latest trends.I love buying my boyriend clothes and being able to come on realtalk and access that info would be awesome.
Dont get me wrong it would e even more awesome if it was a fashion section for women to but I thik you should take one step at a time.

I would really like to see a New Layout. The layout now Is great, but if I could give an opinion, I’d say update the pictures of the rappers on the top, and you could incorporate Pictures of The City (NY) on the site, with maybe a picture of Fog around The Brooklyn Bridge. That would be classic!
