you cant say nas killed hip hop for making that statement. many other rappers had said those same words way before he said anything. and you cant be mad because its true. also it was real ignorant of him to go talk about nas like that… if anything if he was going to say something he should have said it directly to him. his comparison to what nas said and to the NBA was stupid. nas saying that hip hop is dead doesnt kill hip hop, hes just stating the facts….

wow…i have to say, its quite entertaining watching someone talk about something they THINK they understand and are pretty sure they are right. my opinion on rap was that hip hop was dead before nas even said it. when he did, i was like “Thank God at least one of the mainstream rappers notices that too”. and as for what he said about nas saying that and lil wayne turning around and selling millions of albums..well that just helps prove what nas said. Lil wayne is hip POP.. all he talks about is his bitches.his money.and all these things that are the reason why rap is being ruined and its just about material things.so if he sold millions of albums then that shows how most of these “rap” fans like this rap that its just about being rich,”being a drug dealer”, and having hoes. its ridiculous. so in a sense, he just looked even stupider the the people who actually KNOW what nas meant. that hip hop in the mainstream is pretty much ruined. underground and a few selective mainstream rappers keep it alive.

Apparently mr Soulja Faggot has never heard a legendary little album called Illmatic, one that is considered by just about every rapper and fan who knows anything about Hip-Hop to be in the top 5 most influential hip hop albums of all time. The album came out 15 years ago and is still one of the best hip hop records ever recorded. Thats why Nas is a legend.

And get your facts straight, Nas would have released more material on the same level of Illmatic, but big wig producers got ahold of him and coaxed him into aiming for chart topping consumer friendly stuff = more money for Nas… What would you choose if you grew up in the Queensbridge projects your whole life up until then?

These new idiots that are all over my TV set these days arent just killing hip hop they are making it the laughing stock of the entertainment industry altogether.
