Everything you said was on point.

When I first discovered that Nas was INDEED naming his LP “NIGGER”, I was fearing the controversy it would harbor.

And the way in which he (and his spouse and posse) went about promoting the album and getting the public to endorse the idea was perhaps NOT the best method HOWEVER, the idea, the concept, the ideology behind the NIGGER notion was meant to force people to think deeper, to dialogue on the subject, to raise questions and to unite ALL OF US to a common goal/level.

Although album sales might NOT do the content of the album justice, LET IT BE KNOWN the UNTITLED LP is 2008’s best LP, REGARDLESS OF WHAT “THA CARTER 3″ numbers say

Yes that album is Classic!!

I think the point of giving the album the title Nigger went over people’s head because they are still so emotionally attached to the word.

You won’t get passed it unless you confront it.

i will admit that i didnt buy the nas album, due to me just dling just about all the time…didnt buy the one before that either, cause i didn’t like it to much…guess i didnt give it a chance…and i am a big nas fan….but yeah, after seeing that dumb souljah boy video and reading this…..im going to buy both…..nas = real music need our support, cause if people think what sb is saying is relevant….this music and culture is heading down the toilet, mainstream wise

i think its time for people to look for other artistes that are not mainstream….to get a breath of fresh air….
