I feel you G’z, but you aint gotta be “21 & Up” to discuss nuffin. I’m 18 and I’m sure Anybody that knows rap well openly acknowledge the fact that not only is 50 not even in an echelon CLOSE to Nas lyrically. This is a discussion that really isn’t even worth being discussed. Of course 50 isnt gonna downgrade himself and say somethin back, but on some trill tho, do you even entertain the thought of Nas bein done? Hell snaw, getcha mind right.

First of all, we all know that 50 listened to the queens track..i dont care how much he denies it. Second, nas’ career finished?! REALLY? You can argue that nas has at least 3 classic albums. 50? None. Ok..maybe grodt but even that album can’t touch any of nas’ classic albums. And how is nas irrelevant when he’s about to go gold and sold more than g’unit’s album. Are you saying that g-unit, your crew is irrelevant too? 50, just shut the fuck up and make good music if you can. Your last album was GOD AWFUL

The RIAA has announced its Gold and Platinum certifications for August and September. Nas’ untitled ninth album went Gold, giving the rapper his fifth Gold record. Danity Kane’s “Damaged,” and “Superstar” from Lupe Fiasco, both surpassed one million downloads by September, earning Platinum single status. Earning Gold singles in September were Estelle, Jason Mraz, Yael Naim and Flyleaf. Flo Rida’s “Low” went 4X Platinum, as the ringtone for the hit song went triple Platinum.

In August, Coldplay’s hit record Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends was certified Platinum. Rise Against’s Sufferer And Witness album was certified Gold. Madonna’s single “4 Minutes” was certified double-Platinum as a digital single, while “Hung Up” was also certified Platinum. Due to their digital availability, six Red Hot Chili Peppers hit singles also received Gold and Platinum certifications in August.

In September and August combined, the RIAA awarded a total of 53 digital singles, 34 albums and two ringtones.

September Shines Gold for Six First-Time Artist Recipients

@110 G-Roc:WASHINGTON–The Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) certified Sugarland’s 2008 Mercury Nashville release Love on the Inside Gold and Platinum status within only two months of its release, according to its monthly Gold & Platinum report for September. This prestige adds esteem to the country music duo, whose Gold certified single ‘Stay’ recently won Song of the Year at the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards.

Additionally, Def Jam rapper and N.Y. native Nas’ untitled ninth career album quickly went Gold as well. This marks Nas’ fifth Gold album certification to date, each commemorating sales exceeding 500,000.
