Kanye Sells 450k, While, “Theater Of The Mind,” Sells 213k

Of course Kanye’s sales were going to take a drop from the 957k he did with, “Graduation.” The economy, no battle wit 50 and an entirely different style had less people buying his album this time around. Ludacris dropped one of the best Rap albums of the year with, “Theater of The Mind,” and sold a good 213k during the first week of sales. Beyonce is still going strong with 254k sold.

I remember people on here saying the 690K 50 did first week against Kanye last year was a flop.
Lets see if yall gonna say 443K is GREAT lol. Sure its great, but im pretty sure a lot of people were expecting BIG NUMBERS for Kanye.

443K is GREAT, so is 690K and 232K is pretty good. It’s fucking hard to sell more then 500,000 once let alone 3 times. 50 set the bar high for himself and he was the one talking all that shit about he’s gonna retire that’s why people got all over him.
The key to this shit is pulling a Jay-Z and constantly selling between 400k-600k for 10 albums and the only artist really doing that are 50 Cent, Eminem and Kanye.

Beyonce sold 482,000 in the US
and 109,000 rest of the world.

444k is pretty low for kanye standards. he is still going to do his numbers regardless even with an autotune album. i bought the album and havent listened to it yet(bar exam2). his next album should sell more. kanye really loves his music more than his sales unlike fiddy cent.
not a luda fan but he did not get much promotion from defjam. nevertheless, it’s still much more than freeway, redman or method man will ever get from there.
fiddy will drop 18 singles like his last record to sell good first week numbers but will never see 5 million or eleven million in sales again.

I didn’t buy the album but i heard it, and to be honest with you out of 12 tracks on the album. I would say that there were only 2 track that i liked, and 3 tracks on the album that was decent and that the public would liked. Besides that i new that the album wasn’t gonna sell better then his previous albums. And i new that fans wasn’t gonna accepted and forgive him for making an album like 808 & hearbreak.
And even tho it may take a while before fans actually forgive him enough to buy the actual album the album will be forgotten. Fans would either bootleg it or forget about it or simply wait for his next album to drop. The only 3 songs on his album that i liked was Say u will, Amazing, and Coldest winter, and the 2 songs that i knew that the public would like was Heartless, and Lovelock down. Besides that i new that the album wasn’t gonna sell and in my opinion this album was his worst album.
And even tho there were 5 songs on his album that were great his album is still not the type of album that i would cop. And those 5 good tracks that are on the album are not enough wtf i look like bumpin 2/5 good tracks. Im my opinion this album will not last a long time it will do good for now stop at gold then after that its a wrap for 808 & heartbreak.

Kanye’s numbers are fine… Nobody’s really selling all that much in one week… with the exception of Lil Wayne and the way I see it C3 did really well b/c ppl got so many free mixtapes it’s the least they could do was buy 1 CD… TI did well first week b/c the dude is going to prison and ppl was showing support….
All you making these 50 Cent comparisons can eat a… b/c TOS didn’t even sell 200,000 first week… i don’t even think they pushed Kanye’s one week in a month… and that was with them talking all their ish…. Who exactly did they terminate??? Kanye packaged an album he completed in 3 weeks and pushed up the release…

should we really care how much they sold in the first week? some start off fast, and some slow. what should matter is how they finish in the end. compare their albums at the end of the quarter and see what the numbers are then. some niggas will never go plat. that doesnt mean their album is week. i think 88 keys has a great album that should go plat, but i doubt it will. and their are others. just my opinion. im out.
