Kanye Sells 450k, While, “Theater Of The Mind,” Sells 213k

Of course Kanye’s sales were going to take a drop from the 957k he did with, “Graduation.” The economy, no battle wit 50 and an entirely different style had less people buying his album this time around. Ludacris dropped one of the best Rap albums of the year with, “Theater of The Mind,” and sold a good 213k during the first week of sales. Beyonce is still going strong with 254k sold.

    I remember people on here saying the 690K 50 did first week against Kanye last year was a flop.

    Lets see if yall gonna say 443K is GREAT lol. Sure its great, but im pretty sure a lot of people were expecting BIG NUMBERS for Kanye.

    Its a shame Luda sold only 232K..damn! Great Album anyway!

    443K is GREAT, so is 690K and 232K is pretty good. It’s fucking hard to sell more then 500,000 once let alone 3 times. 50 set the bar high for himself and he was the one talking all that shit about he’s gonna retire that’s why people got all over him.

    The key to this shit is pulling a Jay-Z and constantly selling between 400k-600k for 10 albums and the only artist really doing that are 50 Cent, Eminem and Kanye.

    How come no one has mention how bad T-pain three-rings album flopped. Kanye sells, I’m not surprised, then again I am surprise. People are tired of hearing all that auto-tune stuff. I wonder how many Britney Spears will sell, since Jive seem to want to put all there money on her project.

    In addition, I get this impression from Kanye he is not about the numbers. He puts out music that he feels and he himself enjoys. He doesn’t give a hoot if you don’t like it. Regardless of how much he sells the first week, he will eventually go platinum.

    come on people…dude in Long Island walmart died cause people wanted to save a few bucks in electronics….the economy is ugly, you think anyone is spending money on albums?…..surprised it did that well
