A Look At The NBA 08-09 Season So Far(Lakers Are The Only Undefeated Team)
The Los Angeles Lakers are now the only remaining undefeated team (7-0) in the NBA. The Hawks suffered their first loss (6-1) to the Boston Celtics last night (103-102). Teams with one loss include the Celtics and Jazz and top teams include the Cavs(6-2) and Suns(6-2). A deeper look into the league this year is below(And video of the Rockets and Suns scuffle last night).
The Lakers are off to a blazing start after losing in the Finals last year. Kobe Bryant is averaging a shade under 25 points a game and is getting a lot of support from his team mates. Pau Gasol is average 15 points and 11.5 rebounds, Bynum - 9.5 point and 9 rebounds and Odom - 10 points and 6 rebounds. So far they are 7-0 with 4 blow out victories, we will see how they do against the top teams in the league(so far they defeated The Hornets).
Everyone is wondering if the Hawks are legit and so far they seem to be the real thing. Their only lost for the season came from the defending champions and they lost by one point(Josh Smith was injured ). Joe Johnson is averaging 24 ppg, Mike Bibby - 15 ppg and Al Hordord is giving them 12 points and 10 rebounds a night. The Hawks will have to keep up the momentum without Josh Smith( 12 points, 8 reb.,2.3 steals and 2.5 blocks a game).
As far a the league goes, Lebron is going berzerk. He is averaging 30 points 8.5 rebounds and 7 assist with a field goal percentage of 48.5%. Dwayne Wade is carrying the Heat with 27 points, 6 rebounds, 7.6 assist, 3 steals and 1.6 blocks. Tony Parker has 27.4 ppg with 6 assist but will be out for 2 to 4 weeks. Chris Paul has another impressive stat line with 21.3 points, 11.7 assist, 5 rebounds and 3.3 steals with a 52% field goal percentage.
So far the Lakers and Celtics are still the favorites, but its a long season and anything can happen.

Lakers are STACK @ every spot on there team. Kobe & Co. are serious. They aint beating teams they kill’em. They play better defense then the celtics. By the Hawks should’ve won that game lastnite. Hawks are gonna be a 4 seed or higher in the playoffs. Kobe is the MOST complete player in the NBA. Kobe doesnt have a weakness on the court.
