the speech wasn’t supposed to be great. it was supposed to be real. Barack was trying to say we got a long way to go, we might make some mistakes, and this is just the beginning of the struggle to a greater America and he got it all across.

and Lupe… some of you are idiots. It’s obvious what he means by the sound of his voice. He’s trying to say that the most inspiring thing was Jesse Jackson showing the emotions he was feeling after going through all the things they did during and after the civil rights movement. he isn’t hating on Obama, he’s just pointing out the main thing that caught his interest.

first of all, if I ever seen a fake emotion with tears. It was the moment of Jesse Jackson crying.It was the tears of guilt for what he was part of that the world doesnt know(hint hint: MLK assassination). A man that knew his time is up, and all his cooning and uncle toming is over. Finally, Lupe please dont go beyond the knowledge that you know. You are going over the line of who Jesse Jackson and his tears represent. We as black people all over the world represents our ancestors and not just one man. I came directly down to type for the first time i didnt read anybodys comments ill do that after but… I agree with everything Lupe said about the speech and that moment with Jesse Jackson and i am an avid supporter of Barack Obama. Some of yall arent thinkin bout what he is sayin or your not intelligent enough to comprehend it….every older person crying and feeling that moment was feeling it for that same reason Jesse was because they went through the civil rights movement and grew up during segregation….Obama speech was what it was suppose to be an acceptance speech and i reaching out to them people that dont support him. That does not make it bad or less inspiring but in the eyes of black people the moment itself is more. Obama could have got up there and said the ABCs and people woudl have still been crying and inspired because of the moment not his words!!

If the speech wasn’t “outstanding” enough for you then it probably went over your head. The words , the setting, the delivery. But Lupe is within his rite like anyone else to express his opinion…he just happens to be wrong; it’s not the first time. He speaks fairly well and spits pretty good so but has shown many flashes of iggnorance But I think some of President-elect Obama’s words went over his head.
