Andre 3000 Might Drop A Solo Rap Album In 09
Having killed it on the collabo front this year, last time you were in the studio for your own music?
I was just talking to my DJ the other night because I’m working on a solo album at the moment and I’m so excited. I just want to hear some new music from myself, but I’m not a fast writer. I envy every rapper out right now because they write so fast. Lil Wayne, T.I., Game… I wish I could have that much output. But I’m hoping it will be out the top of next year and I’m hoping it will be a rap album.We do too…
I really pray that it’s rap because that’s what I’m feeling right now. I have a couple of titles, and a couple of concepts, but it really depends on the music. When I’m 75/ 80% done, I’ll know.Full Interview: RWD Mag
This would be one of the most anticipated rap albums for 09 if true.

Yeah, i heard about this earlier this year. i’m not gonna get my hopes up yet. I’m still waiting for Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx part 2, Dre, Eminem, Big Boi, BlackStar, Busta Rhymes. everybody keeps getting pushed back. Keywords : Andre 3000 MIGHT drop a solo rap album in 09. MIGHT is a strong and discouraging word when it comes to hiphop releases

Andre is very overrated alot of better rappers who don’t get the respect he gets and don’t have artists dickriding him like hes Rakim or Nas. Very overrated…..

yeah they write fast but they dont say shit. sometimes i listen to wayne songs and i’m like damn hye snapped but he didnt say shit. that song was like 4 minutes long and i heard alot of words but nothing was said. and i am a wayne fan so stans please grant me immunity and dont hate

there is no way in the world that 3000 could ever be considered overated. his weaker verses > most rappers best. big boi was very good and underated. its just andre was the poet and far more charismatic (see wu-tang).
i could live with someone saying that 3000 was the best rapper or the best ever. from a fan’s perspective, 3000 does not make enough material. which is a gift and a curse. it’s said when his music production output is easily surpassed by the likes of wayne, jim jones ect(not a diss). but hey, i have always been QUALITY over QUANTITY anyway.
in regards to him saying wayne is good, they are “in pocket” now and they making money and songs together. only bi-polar rappers like game or joe budden would say something different and i like both. besides, wayne been praising 3000 HARD for years.
