I listen to all kinds of music, from classical to bossa nova to punk to hip-hop, as long as it is good. I have a couple points though before I shit on Kanye.

1. This is NOT hip-hop, Kanye knows it, we know it, itunes knows it (if you buy it on itunes it is classified as pop). Kanye said that “pop gets a bad rap, yet Michael Jackson was pop and he is the king”. Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy, YOU IS NOT MICHAEL JACKSON NIGGA, no where near his talent. Michael composed the songs dude, wrote the horn arrangements, produced, and sung. Again, Kanye YOU ARE NO MICHAEL JACKSON!!! So please do not use him as an excuse to release a horrible album.

2. Someone mentioned Outkast, which is a valid example. They have switched up their style and direction several times…SUCCESSFULLY. LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR! You can try “new” things, which is fine, I think you should try new things in your career, just realize that not everything “new” is going to work. When Miles Davis or Bob Dylan went electric, not EVERYONE liked their work. This is to say, that those of you that like this stuff are allowed your opinion. From a musical standpoint though, THIS IS SOME STRAIGHT BULLSHIT! IT IS NOT EVEN “GOOD” POP! Robocop and some of the other songs are nearly UNLISTENABLE!

3. THIS SHIT IS NOT ORIGINAL!!! Using a archival type 80s beat and singing into an auto-tuner does not mean that the shit is original, and certainly does not mean it is good. I figure, if I could go into my basement and make a similar song myself, THE SHIT IS WACK! All Ye is doing is pulling a classic 80s beat, modifying it, adding some classic 80s keyboard, and singing into an auto-tuner. For all you lunatics that keep saying “have an open mind”…SHUT THE FUCK UP! You have an open mind and go listen to some Charles Ives, or some Royksopp, or Wayne Shorter. Until you truly listened to enough music to tell me to “open my mind” shut your mouth.

4. THIS MUSIC SUCKS!! IT SOUNDS LIKE SOME SHIT IN A C CLASS 80s PORNO MOVIE! THAT’S RIGHT, IT IS TERRIBLE and i love Kanye. CD is a classic!! I truly hope this flops, and he gets it out of his system so he will return to making Fat Tracks and clever sometimes insightful rhymes. PLEASE DO NO SUPPORT THIS ALBUM, or WE MAY NEVER GET THE TALENTED KANYE BACK!!!
