Damn he really went in, what do yall think of his points? Obviously if T.I. didn’t get arrested he wouldn’t be doing a PSA with the police. The thing is snitchin can only be done by fellow criminals. T.I. is promoting witnesses of crimes to speak. Say some innocent kid got shot in the streets, shouldn’t the shooter be brought to justice? In my eyes you have civilians and then they are gangsters. Crimestoppers is for civilians, not for street guys to snitch on each other.
Mysonne does make an interesting point about T.I. profiting from the, “gangsta,” image and previous things T.I. may of said about the police.

If you are a “real street nigga” then you obviously know that this message is NOT directed toward you.
TI does have street credibility and there are a lot of kids and young adults who are from “where he is from” that does not engage in the activities of “real street niggas” like Mysonne or TI but they get caught up in the lifestyle and “rules” that apply to those type of citizens simply because that is the only example they have from the ’stars’ in their hood or from their hood.
That PSA should not hold any weight to anyone doing dirt, because as stated if you do dirt then you should expect to get dirt and know that it’s your dirt to clean. However, let’s be real. There are more non-street niggas that listen to Tip than street niggas and he is truly doing a service by opening up these kids and young adults to another side of life outside of the street silliness which only destroys.
If you want to be outraged and disgusted about anything that concerns ’street niggas’ then be outraged at the fact that he is a convicted felon only serving a year and community service for his latest charge. Now that’s some street shit that people outside of that world could care less about.
But, being upset at the fact that he is telling individuals to not be afraid to work with police to stop injustices done to law abiding citizens by your beloved “street niggas” is extra silly.

i think they are both correct on what they are speaking on. I don’t think T.I. intentions were to have people snitch on other people.. Someone needs to relax and renew his membership to the “Hug-A-Thug” program or in his case “Hug-An-Angry-Wannabe-Thug” program. I do believe TI is just complying with his probation requirements (change via fear of loss of freedom)but if the PSA deters crime or saves lives……………I’m for it.

As much as I wanna disagree wit the homie Mysonne on this 1, I can’t. He’s sayin some real shit, cuz I felt the same way when I seen that T.I. commericial & shit. Like I love T.I’s music, but if u gonna talk about that street shit, u have to abide by it, cuz there are niggaz in the streets that do look at u as a like a street pastor of some sort. So it’s like he’s misleading niggaz, and now real niggaz don’t know what to believe in anymore. I’m sure his music was motivational for a lot of hustlers & criminals out there, and now he’s advocating that these niggaz should get locked up for some shit that he’s been instilling in them thru his music. I understand he has 6 kids at home that he has to be a father for, and that he doesn’t wanna be in jail for more than 366 days, but it was his decision to carry them illegal firearms to protect his life, and he has to know that jail is 1 of the consequences and he should accept those terms without getting other niggaz involved.
I don’t think this particular situation has anything to do with a kid being struck by a bullet. We’re talkin about a nigga who has embraced being the king of the south and talkin about the trap where there is nothin but criminal activity taking place, and now you’re promoting that all these criminals you’ve been leading & running ur whole life with should be locked up. I just think that’s morally wrong.

TI has become wiser and you have to respect it. With his credibility and power, he’s taking advantage of it to make a difference and push for positive change.
