T.I.’s, “Paper Trail,” Debuts #1 With 568,000 Records Sold
T.I. earns his third straight No. 1 on The Billboard 200 as “Paper Trail” debuts at the top this week. The rapper earns his biggest sales week ever with the Grand Hustle/Atlantic set, which moved 568,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, which is also the third-biggest sales frame of the year.

T.I. album is 10x better then the carter 3 album. Wayne is sooooooooo overrated. Carter 3 any has 2 good tracks on it.

I’ll be copping this soon, Only dissapoint is he had that awful Swag track with Kanye, Wayne and Jay-Z even though T.I. overshadowed “The second best rapper alive” Defintley getting this , Joe Budden - Halfway House, new Jedi Mind Tricks, Luda - Theater Of The Mind, 50 Cent - Before I Self Destruct and Common’s if it drops and 08 is a wrap as far as buying CD’s for me unless “the best rapper alive” drops a new album after not putting out anythink since 06.

TI did real good numbers…and his cd is actually really good!! He should be plat by early to mid Nov…but really its not about sales…Jay doesnt do big first week numbers but all his shit goes plat with little promotion…im hopin BP 3 is a classic after hearing his last one cuz it was as well!! but i dont expect him to do the numbers TI just did…Jay will sell 4th highest this year or maybe 5th 1st week numbers…WAYNE YE TI…then Luda or Jay…not saying thats ranking how good the cds are but just sales wise…

I dont know why niggas talking shet about LAX…that album is a banger to me from start to finish……The reason why TI and Wayne sold is because they have a more diverse fan base…the women like their swaggers….and in Wayne’s case even the good ole white folks dig him….as far as Game….a lot of women dont like listening to that gangster talk like I do although they like some of his music they not gonna spend their dollars bumping it…but the younger girls on my job…say they love that One Blood song…..the younger girls on my job went out and brought TI first day it dropped…and they brought the ring tone for Whatever you like….they are between the age of 22-27…..
If your fan base isnt that large…and if you dont have the fans that actually goes out to pick up your music then your sales will be low…although people dig your music it’s not enough for them to go pick up your CD..they would rather burn it!!! So you cant take anything away from GAME they liked the songs they heard…they just not gonna go out to buy his CD…..and young girls definitely loved Game’s Pain and My Life…but if you dont know what else the CD offers then they wont purchase it…..I guess Game dont have that much swag for the ladies….although I love him to death….

I was real excited when I heard T.I.’s new project. I was curious to see whether he would deliver and how the general public would receive his music. He went past my expectations. 500,000 is very impressive in today’s market. I’m happy for him.
