The Game’s, “L.A.X.,” Goes Gold
After 8 weeks on sale, The Game’s, “L.A.X.,” has gone gold. T.I.’s, “Paper Trail,” has sold over 870k in 2 weeks and Ne-Yo’s, “Year Of The Gentleman,” should be going gold next week. Nelly’s, “Brass Knuckles,” is still under 150k after 5 weeks on sale.

yh i think its a success, but some tracks shud have been replaced with others. i.e. money shud hav been switched with spanglish, touchdown with california state of mind, etc.

this album was garbage..
as far as sales goes, if you sold 5 million albums on your first album and then turn around and only sell a mil or little bit over that, and now you’re down to just going gold, which in reality he’s not going to get to platinum on this one.
soo.. for what it’s worth..

Considering how thing are right now with everythin bein free to download. I’d say its a success remember this is just 8 weeks the years not done yet he’s eventually gonna reach platinum or certified platinum 750 000-850 000+, if not this year then next. Yall are actin like the game just sold 500 000 albums thats it, nah its still gonna rack up in a couple months . Look at Jay-z’s reasonable doubt album that didnt hit platinum till a couple yrs later, even chamillionaire first album it was predicted to only move gold status but it eventually went platinum a couple months later mainly because of his smash single ridin dirty. I think its a success I think Jeezy is more of a let down to me cuz his shit knock but aint doing numbers like his last two. L.A.X is a dope album no matter what the sales say, a lot of you ‘haters’ and there’s many of you should know that and to sum this situation up of not going platinum all i’m going to do is quote the legendary KRS One “MC’s are just hopeless/ Thinking that record sales make them the dopest” all lot of you so called “hip hop” fans need to remember those lines. L.A.X is The Game’s best work up there with The Documentary considering he didn’t have Dr Dre producing the album nor contributing to the project whatsoever. Tracks like Angel featuring Common, State of Emergency featuring Ice Cube, Let Us Live produced by Scott Storch and Ya Heard featuring Ludacris is proper Hip Hop. The Game spits fire on the track titled California Sunshine featuring Bilal as he’s a talented rapper who can switch up his flows as we hear that on the track i just stated and the track called Never Can Say Goodbye where he pays tribute to Tupac, Biggie and Eazy-E you see his versatility. Even the skit Hard Liquor is bangin as it’s another one of his classic tracks which is coincidently produced by Dr Dre. The Game in general is an artist that Hip Hop needs as he’s a talented MC and his flow is old school mixed with new and is a rapper who uniquely switches up his style and flow, i’ve got respect for him.
