What still drives you to make music?

What criteria do you hold yourself to when evaluating your songs for release. meaning do you look for a “club banger, and something for the chicks” or just write and record whatever you’re feeling at the time!

A Tribe Called Quest was part of that last era of 3 man groups alongside Run DMC and De La Soul. We havent seen any groups like that lately. How important is the role of a 3 man hiphop group in hiphop? Essentially groups with 2 emcees and one DJ?

Prison song was a good movie, shit was deep. Jason Allen must have auditioned for the part and lost the lead role to Q-tip.

Why does Q-Tip believe technology is killing hip-hop when some classic songs like “my melody” by Rakim were synthesizer…doesnt he think hip hop should be more diverse than simply sampling all the time…what about hip-hops evolution and what its lacking???
