ALL I HAVE TO SAY TO CHRIS COMMENT IS…IF MONEY DIDN’T CHANGE U THEN U DIDN’T MAKE ENOUGH
October 10th, 2008 at 1:58 am

damn realtalk must be cakin off these damn polls, cause we got ‘em on every damn post.
when u make big money yeah shit changes and people who are honest with themselves and creative enough-kanye, andre, pharrell, wayne- will evolve as ARTISTS.
The niggas who never were artists to begin with will continue to go through the motions and their careers will stagnate.

I believe with where Kris was going not so much how he worded it though maybe he didnt have enough time i dont know…
Look at it this way Ive read many times and talked to many Hip Hop heads and a lot of our favorite Mc’s especially the ones that would be considered “Raw” ( and by raw I mean “street”) best albums are their first mainly because those Mc’s were hungry.Once these niggas get put on they leave the hood they loose there street edge the shit that we relate to.Or want to hear.
Look at Mc’s like 50 cent Nas even Young Jeezy we can all agree these niggas first albums were easily there best work but think of why…They were hungry to get put on and the content they were spitting they were living…Not many(there are some) Mc’s today get that deal and stay in the hood.
The cold part about it is that even tho these niggas original albums might have been classic once they get taken out of their element, and put into a multi million dollar mansion in suburbia and a Masseratti it now becomes their creativity not their street edge that fuels their lyrics.
50 cent Jay z or Young Jeezy can never make another GRODT,Reasonable, or Thug Mo lp ever…
Mainly because they arent the people that made those tracks anymore they arent going through that shit.
Some niggas might front and say they are but lets face it Curtis isnt going to be chillin in Jamaican Queens or Jeezy and Jay aint in Marcy and the Trap with they Maybachs parked up chillin wit tha “real” goons talkin about coming up anymore..
I hate reading long ass blog entries so ima stop but I’d have to cosign Kris to that degree..

move the camera over to the left, so you can PARTIALLY see her head, not the whole thing. visually it doesn’t really work.
October 10th, 2008 at 6:15 am
i agree in a way. money will change you and take you away from that harsh life they rap about. BUT, just because you don’t actually live that life style anymore does not mean you have forgotten about it. look at jay z, he still raps about dope, etc. and is one of the riches mc’s alive. now 50 proved what krs is talking about. 50 said he had to go back to his grandmother’s house to inspire him to write his last album, why? that old life style wasn’t in his blood any more. so how can you continue to write about something you no longer experience?

planet of the apes lookin ass nigga
October 10th, 2008 at 7:02 am
Yeah,I Know He’s Considered As Uh Legend And All, But He Needs To Sdfu!!.
October 10th, 2008 at 8:34 am
ok money changes you but dont like money make you a fuckin asshole … niggas come in the game all humble then they cake and change there whole character stay true to your self dont change who you are for anything thats the message that needs to be taught
October 10th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Just look at 50 pre GRODT and now, he can never rap the same way he did on “Problem Child”, “Many Men” etc.
October 10th, 2008 at 9:57 am
Not entirely true all the time. Some rappers are rich and still make raw hip hop.
Wayne was beginning to do tht pop/soft shit, which aint bad but wasn’t raw until the new “I cant feel my face” and “Leanin low” with Santana. That shit is raw. Dedication 3 coming too
Jay-Z still makin raw shit
Eminem is a big example of falling off after gettin rich tho lol but I think he still got it.
October 10th, 2008 at 11:58 am
it can be done. it jus wont be as authentic. peoples first albums are usually so deep and full of content and the closest thing in their dicography to a classic if not a classic. because they are hungry. compare thug motivation to the inspiration. jay-z wasnt that hungry for American Ganster and he still made pretty damn close to a raw hip hop classic. so it can be done by those mcs who are SO talented they dont have to be hungry
October 10th, 2008 at 11:59 am

October 10th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Well, Money and success can change you and that goes for every music genre and not exclusively to “raw” rappers. Most artist no matter what genre (Rock, soul, Hiphop, country..etc) do their best work in the beginning of their career when they are hungry and very motivated. Another thing is even if the artist continue do make good records some fans will still say he fell off basically because they compare everything you do to your best work that the artist did in the beginning of his/her career.
October 10th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
whut up sheep krs one is right but thats when artist have to go to the next step of rapp or hip hop look at kanye and lil wanye stlyes taken to the next level and its still considerd hip hop , but you may have some people that will say or dat nigga went commercial thats the point fuckface
drop 1or2 raw dawg shit albums then get with that shit that can make you some larry rudolph money and if you respected you can go back to the hood and drop another classic 4 years from then

Fab Does It On Every Track. Hip Hop Just Isn’t Music, It’s A Lifestyle!
October 13th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Man this dude dont know what he talking about, 50 cent is a prime example of raw hip-hop…TOS is as gutter and raw as it gets
October 13th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
my dude (KRS), how old are you?!
the fucking word is “ASK”, not ‘AXE’ son. PLEASE get it right.
you want people to respect you and think that you have some level of intelligence? PRONOUNCE simple fucking words the right damn way son! is that fucking difficult?!
dude phonetically pronounces “authenticity” the right way, and then spits off the word “AXE” like 3 fucking times. give me a damn break!
