Nas is clearly a better lyricist but these award shows are based on popularity… they need people to watch their lame @ss stations so it just is what it is… years from now, nobody can mistake the majority of lil wayne songs for poetry (regardless of topic)… i’ll give him a few songs on C3 though. when he talks abt katrina, that’s when he starts to make sense.
