Lil Wayne Wins Lyricist Of The Year & Is Expecting His First Son


Lil Wayne announced Saturday night during the BET Hip-Hop Awards that he’s having his first son in just a “couple of days.” He was onstage accepting the Lyricist of the Year Award when he told the crowd at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center of his impending bundle of joy.

Next on his plate is the release of a new album, Tha Carter III. The tireless New Orleans mic fiend says he’s dropping a new version of the album with all brand-new songs: He said clearly that the record is not — repeat not — Tha Carter IV.

    all of these awards hav no credibility, whether its em bein voted best rapper alive or wayne lyricist of the year… All these awards just seem to be based on popularity, and gaining the most exposure for their awards.. Which of course they will get by awardin it to lil wayne.
