Kanye West’s HBO Show Future In Jeopardy
“It was really good, but … I think it was too hard-core for HBO. HBO doesn’t have a good track record when it comes to black shows, and I felt like that may have had something to do with it also,” he told the site. This was very entertaining and we showed it to a lot of people. People gave it a very good response, and it seems to be on the shelf right now.
Charles did say that the show is roughly Kanye’s version of Larry David’s show, “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” an idea that Kanye thought up himself. “What Kanye West said to me the first time, he said, ‘I’m the black Larry David.’

Seriously Kanye gtfoh and just admit it didn’t get picked because maybe it wasn’t that good. HBO has been known to show more grittier, unedited shows like The Wire, and those countless unedited shows.

Co-sign #1. HBO is known for pushing the limits while still making quality shows so kanye just admit that it wasn’t worthy for HBO..shop it to comedy central or something. And the black larry david?! Why would you want to make a show similar to an already classic show..thats tv suicide

why are yall hating on kanye? Larry Charles said this. And once again we as people are ignorant. “The Wire” is easy for white people to watch because its a bunch of selling drugs, us killing each other etc. Kanye’s show was dealing with the day to day plight of being a black man, such as getting jobs, getting more jailtime, and little things white people do to black people but dont realize that it is racist. “an educated black man is always scarier than a one who playsin to the ‘hood’ stereotype”.
