Stop The Madness: Tyra Banks Talks To A Mother That Bleaches Her Children’s Skin
Smh, this is a lot more popular than people can imagine. People have severe insecurities and think things like bleach can male them appear more attractive when it really won’t. It should be against the law to bleach the skin of your children.

I’m not surprised I’ve seen things like this before. Here in England there are places where you can buy skin bleach products. It’s illeagal so you have to ask the owner and they give it to you behind closed doors it’s also expensive. Those women who go to these shops to get skin bleach products usually don’t tell anyone about it…it’s like a secret cause they’re ashamed what they’re doing.
Skin bleaching is most common among women and you’ll find it all over the world where there are people of color. (America Caribbean, Africa, India)
It’s very common in India where it’s actually socially accepted to bleach your skin. A woman with lighter skin in India is considered more beautiful so if you’re a woman born with light skin then you’re “Lucky”.
Skin bleaching is not accepted in Africa but there are especially women that do bleach their skin in african countries, and also among africans and caribbeans living in europe. It’s a small minority that do stuff like that but it’s still a problem. It’s a fucked up beauty mentality and it will fuck up your skin aswell.

1.)Black is beautiful in all shades and I personally perfer DARK chocolate although I am not.
I find it SO CRAZY the things WOMEN of color and women in general do to try and look “better” or more European with the bleaching and weaves and rhinoplasty, but there are no MEN of color changing themselves???
I have noticed for sometime now, that MOST OF THE RICHEST AND MOST SUCCESSFUL MEN IN THE WORLD ARE U-G-L-Y but don’t have the same insecurities as women do. I mean look @ most of the NBA, NFL hell MOST atheletes, musicians (especially rap and hard rock)etc, they are very hard on the eyes but get women anyway. Take for instance;
Mick Jagger (YUCK)
Jay-Z
Diddy
Jermaine Dupree
Lil Wayne
Ludacris (looks like an over exagerated cartoon character like Jay-Z)
Yung Jock, Yung Jeezey MAJORITY of anyone that refers to their old ass as Yung NE thing
Lebron James and MOST of the NBA as mentioned above
Most black men in power PERIOD are Ugly
Bill Gates
Donald Trump and the list goes on and on…..those are the ones that are just OBVIOUSLY!!!
We don’t have very many Usher’s and TI’s and Brad Pits etc to look at but women think they have to look perfect in order to catch a husband or be successful. What’s the double standard about?? If Star Jones were a man, no one would say NE thing about her looks or her past weight issues IE Biggy Smalls RIP who even knew he was UGLY AS FUCK but knew he would easily get around it.
2.)Instead of skin bleaching her children, why didn’t she just have children with a white man if she wanted lighter children so they can come out all funny lookin like Solange’s son Daniel LOL????
I know, that was wrong but yall know I’m right…

@OhF@ckThat
That’s the world we live in. We as Women are judged by our appearance and men are judge by their success/what they do for a living and how they carry themselves. It’s always been like that.
Anyway beauty is very subjectiv. Personally I think Ludacris is hot and Diddy is not ugly. He’s a decent looking man. Most NBA, NFL players are not ugly. There are of course ugly ones like everywhere else but most are normal looking men and plenty are pretty damn hot larry johnson T.O Reggie Bush Darren Sharper Kobe and the list goes on and on.
2.) Solange babyfather is BLACK not white. Another thing is many biracial kids come out looking just as black as many of us black folks with two black parents.

2.) Solange babyfather is BLACK not white.
¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨
The babyfather is biracial. He is half black half white and Solange could be mixed (as far as looks) and her family got that whole creole thing going in their family

#9 lol:) i agree with you there is a double standard when it comes to looks in the media and i wonder if that will ever change?? i wonder if it has to do with the general public though?? because the media is trying to catch and keep people’s attention.
i don’t even know what to say about the mother bleaching her kids skin….i think it’s disgusting how she’s placed her insecurities on her kids and i think she should be ashamed smh

The double standard will most likely not go away. And that’s the reason why majority of women that make it in showbusiness are goodlooking. A man doesn’t have to be good looking in order to make it as long as he’s talented he’ll be alright. It’s a shame cause there are many talented women in the world that never get the chance only because they don’t fit the beauty standard. If Rick Ross or Fat Joe were women they would never even get a record deal lol.

The slavementality is still around. It’s 2008 and black people bleach their skin SMDH. Black is beautiful remember that and not only the lightskinned ones. Most black women you see in media are lightskinned though
