Jermaine Dupri Weighs In On Barack Obama’s DNC Speech
Exactly why was Obama supposed to be giving everyone a history lesson in his speech when the whole point was to talk about the future? What he said was exactly what he needed to say to introduce himself to apolitical folks like me and get us fired up and ready to make a change. It was his job to lay out the plan that will bring America into the 21st century, and that’s what he did.
I want to know where we’re going and how we’re going to get there, not where we’ve already been. It’s his actions that carry the torch for MLK, not some boring tribute to the past that other people expect him to make. That’s the kind of bullshit that old people who’ve been here forever get stuck on. They’re missing the point. They’re forgetting that when they followed Martin Luther King they were young themselves. They were looking ahead, not backwards.

Looks Like Obama is winning over everyone, especially major figures in Hip Hop. I just hope people are not expecting overnight changes if Obama ends up becoming the president.

When I first started making music in Atlanta, people said I was too country, and that the music of the South would never have the flava of what was going on in New York or LA. Now everyone’s coming to Atlanta. It’s the mecca of music. Times change.

For once I dont feel like slapping an artist with their own foot after they try to get all political…..JD definitely hit the nail on the perverbial head. Obama will never be able to please 100% of the people. I think he did a great job with his speech. He called out McSame, and outlined his plan for the country. He didn’t need or have to reference MLK especially since there was a tribute done all day for him.
The day was for Obama to make history not for him to talk about it.

There 3 reasons why i respected and appreciate obama the number 1 reason is becuz obama is making history and history is the key to success. I mean every word that comes outta his mouth is inspirational intelligent and educative and that wat we need to hear. Obama at this point can talk about anything and come off being right. Now the number 2 reason why i respected and appreciate obama is becuz he cares about poor neighborhoods. And people who’s struggling in these poor neighborhoods. And his plan is to help the people he can see throw them as far as how smart they are its just that they are living in poverty and his plan is to change poverty. Their alot of kids living in poverty who are smart and who can become successful and in my opinion i think obama is there to make that happen. Now my 3rd and final reason why i respected and appreciate obama is becuz with everybody in these poor neighborhood eating off each other like their zombie. Obama is their to help and give back it not like the poor wants money all they want is for somebody to help put in money for the useful thing that tey need to become successful. And i thing they also want a chance and a change and that all they need. Another thing that iv noticed is that there use to be high class folk mid class folk and low class folk now there know such thing as mid class. After Bush became president now its either your high class or low class and that is very shameful. Folks now and days killing and robbing each other and themselves being that life is to stressed out. We got folks who want to go to school but they can’t why cuz its to expensive gas is to expensive. And while people in these poor neighborhoods struggle and suffer them rich folks are livin it up flashing their money and using there money to decorate their homes and its a shame. And that the reason why i want obama to win and become president. Now there 3 reason why i hate Mccain the number 1 reason why is becuz Mccain is a man who is taking alot of success from these poor neighborhood making the rich get richer. And he knows good and well that the poor is struggling will he do something about it hell know. Now the number 2 reason why i hate mccain is becuz every word that comes outta his mouth is worth millions of dollars. And with me myself and i can not agree with mccain’s words being that im low class so fuck mccain. Instead of him supporting the poor being that they ain’t got nothing dude is supporting the rich. And now my 3rd reason why i hate mccain is becuz he gonna destroy America even more if he becomes president. I mean there nothing that he’s doing that is presidential plus he’s old on top of that dude thinks he’s making history by electing that chick as vice preisent. I mean damn that bitches has 4 fuckin kids 4 fuckin kids that bitch is def gonna have lots of shit on her hands once its her time. But besides that i hope that mccain doesn’t win i mean there promoting obama real well. But i feel that them damn republicans will pull a trick and let mccain win which i hope not. And before i end my post i just want to say fuck all them celebs who talkin that nice shit on TV talkin about vote for obama. But behind close doors their really republicans they know damn well their getting and stilling taxes from us so they need to stop with that bullshit. If i was rich i would still vote democrate for 3 reasons number 1 reason is becuz i don’t take life for granted. I can be rich one day and be poor the next day as long as i know that im giving back and the folks appreciate me then im all good. Now the number 2 reason why i will vote democrate is becuz in order to start off rich you got to be poor. And not only that the people as far as your family and friends will not make it and come off successful like you which will make them democrate. And on top of that you can’t forget about your ancestors which are the people who came before you. And now my number 3 reason why i will vote democrate is become if im making money like oprah jay-z tiger wood 50 or p-diddy why wouldn’t i give back what am i basically gonna do with all that money i might as well give back period.
