To clarify the recent reports, in addition to the $2000 per month I pay in cash to Lashon Dixon, the mother of my sons Domani and Messiah, I also pay for their private schooling, medical insurance, clothing, food, gifts, birthdays and extracurricular activities. Their extra-curricular activities have included football, basketball, baseball, acting lessons, summer camp, and any other activities that they express a desire to be involved in that will contribute to them leading balanced lives and developing into well rounded individuals. I have also made an attempt to help Lashon with additional payments that have included a down payment to purchase her home, purchase of an automobile for her transportation and other financial obligations. These expenses are documented and are far in excess of the $2000 cash payment that is being paid direct to Lashon. She has chosen not to work and to live 100% from her child support receipts. This is the reason for her difficulties in making ends meet for herself.

Its sad that some women (of many colors) see children as a paycheck. Its sad that people can go to the media and the internet and discredits people and the reputations before they can defend themselves. As a woman I hate it when I hear of another women taking advantage of a situation that most people would be grateful to be in. Child support is for the CHILD – not to get your hair done and live “the life.” There are so many moms who WISH their children’s father would send a $100 check a month let alone $2000 PLUS various expenses. I still feel his first two children should be living the same life as his live-in children (one of which isn’t even his). If they’re not, she deserves more money (or he should start giving them that same life). I think she just wants more for her children because it’s not like she was being greedy and said “Give me $20,000 a month”. She’s letting the judge choose an amount he thinks is appropriate based on his other children’s lives and TI’s income. Nothing wrong with that, IMO.
