Gucci Mane Gets A Year In Jail For Not Doing Community Service & Drugs

A judge revoked part of Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane’s probation Friday. The rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, was handcuffed and taken to jail after prosecutors complained he had only completed 25 hours of the 600 hours of community service he was ordered to perform.

Goger decided to revoke one year of 28-year-old Davis’ three and a half years of probation on an assault charge. That means the rapper will have to serve that one year in jail. Gucci Mane was convicted of hitting a promoter in the head with a pool cue.

I would of been doing community service like it was a 9-5. Gucci said he had done some community service at schools but it was undocumented and the judge was not hearing his pleas for mercy.

Black Kids (especially young black males) listen up (I’m going to make it short),

I’m a black adult (so is Gucci Mane), and being a black male (young or old) in America, the radar is on your head as soon as you are born. It’s not fair, nor is it right but it’s life. The choices you make will be magnified (especially your wrong choices). So please, please, don’t waste the opportunities that are given to you (i.e. Radric Davis being a rapper – I disagree with gangster rap to it’s core but I have to admit that it was an opportunity for Radric Davis to improve his life and the life of his family LEGALLY). Good opportunities only come around a few times in life so take full advantage of them. And please young men do not give society rope to hang you with – figure of speech- . Radric Davis gave that judge plenty of rope by not complying with the court’s previous orders.

In short. Every decision you make can contribute to enhancing your life or attribute to your death. Choose life black man, choose life. –
