Christina Milian Partners With MySpace Records

Myspace Page

Pop sensation Christina Milian, makes a bold move to MySpace Records as she readies her much anticipated third U.S. album due out in Spring ‘09. The first single, “Us Against the World,” a powerful and melodic ballad written by Milian and produced by Madd Scientist (Leona Lewis, Jesse McCartney) will make an unprecedented Worldwide Premiere on MySpace.com October 6 and will be made available for digital purchase starting on October 7th.

More info below.

“I am so excited to be a part of the MySpace family,” says Christina Milian. “They represent the future of the music industry and for me as a musician, it’s important to align myself with a label that allows me to be very much a part of the process. I wrote most of the record myself, worked with producers who I had a connection with and they (MySpace) have supported me as an artist every step of the way.”

For her third installment in the states, Milian is writing a majority of the album and has collaborated with Kanye West and power producers T. Pain, Cool and Dre, Jim Jonsin, Toby Gad and Danja in the studio. The result is an album full of personal experiences told through upbeat dance tracks and sweeping ballads characteristic of the singer’s broad range.

“We are thrilled to have added powerhouse talent Christina Milian to our roster,” says J. Scavo, General Manager of MySpace Records. “We are putting everything we have behind her. MySpace Records will support the release of the single with a multi-tiered launch campaign to include both online and offline elements! The single goes to Pop Radio on October 21st, and we’re getting amazing feedback already.”

Nice pic of Christina. I don’t think it’s sad or pathetic or funny for that matter. Careers aren’t made overnight. It could work out well for her, you never know. Just think about how many people use myspace. She may get the exposure that she needs in order to build a bigger fan base. Keep doing ya thang Chrissy!
