Sidebar: I don’t think he snitched because I followed the case. They offered him a deal because all their evidence was getting thrown out. TI took it because there was still a MAJOR possibilty he’d get convicted.
Think Jay-Z. Although he didn’t have a record like TI, he still only got 3 years of probation when he was facing 10 years in prison for stabbing Un. Why? His money bought a good attorney that got evidence dismissed, but he still could’ve went to jail because there were witnesses testifying (including Un). The Feds don’t like to lose, so whenever that possibilty arises, they take a plea deal. Anybody (especially rappers) would be stupid to leave their fate in the hands of 12 random people when they can do less time.
