I’m so sick of seeing comments like this. For the love of GOD, we all KNOW ALREADY T-Pain didn’t invent the auto-tune but he did bring in into modernday hip-hop which spark a tone of mother fuckers using it. NO ONE THINKS HE WAS THE FIRST NIGGA TO USE IT!

ummmmmmmmmm….people call it the T Pain effect because T pain popularized autotune for this generation. So much so that autotune is going to add a TPain setting to their next edition of autotune. Also “Autotune” came out in 1997…Roger “TROUTMAN” used an instrument known as the talkbox…so yea everybody can can keep calling it the TPain effect…and you can just get that dick outcho mouth….cus no Tpain didnt invent Autotune…he just made everybody wanna use it….he pioneered that shit so quit hatin on other niggas…and do some research before you get all high and mighty

Actually tough guy Cher popularized the effect with “Believe”. That’s when it broke into mainstream, groups like Daft Punk in Europe even furthered its appeal into mass media.

And Kanye has always sang on tracks, whether it was little harmonies or more. Remember Grammy Hey Mama live on national TV?
