Oasis Member Tells Jigga To Grow Up

Gem Archer of OASIS had this to say to Jigga throwing jabs at Glatsonbury & on, “Jockin Jay-z.”

“It’s like eight-year-old girls in a schoolyard, running off and writing ditties like that. Grow up!

“But rappers love a ruck. It’s what they do. They set out to have a fight and it’s there in their lyrics. They love biffo.”

Source: The Sun

Thought this was already dead and I’m assuming biffo=beef.

Funny thing with the Gallagher brothers is that during their whole career they’ve been dissing and beefing with other rockartist especially Liam Gallagher. Oasis are known for being disrespectful towards artists they don’t like and they have said plenty of ridiculous stuff and acting like punks, and now Gem Archer thinks Jay-Z is like an eight-year-old girl in a schoolyard???

If you’re part of Oasis then you know damn well how Liam and Noel like to act so it makes him look like a fool for getting angry when someone isn’t backing down and response. It’s like a boxer who likes to dish it out but can’t take it when someone fights back. SMH

ama have to cosign with oasis on this one. jay z is overrated in the first place and oasis had a bigger impact on rock and roll.

oasis> jay z in their respective music categories.

i wish i had the knowledge of them like #5 does so i could properly assess them.
but rapper does this shit all the time and thats a small part of the reason some people dont buy records anymore, just a small reason.
but whoever said they impact on rock is bigger than jayz impact on rap, you sound crazy. if they were, they wouldve crossed over and we would know them, the way they know hov
either way it seems like a jim jones tactic, jayz can just make this another knotch on his belt of entertainers that need him to sell records backwards ass niggas

Cosign number 5. Not to mention, the BROTHERS have fought each other in the past and bad mouth one another to the media.

He has a point about NEW SCHOOL rappers, but not a nigga like Jay. His only real beef in hip hop was with Nas, Prodigy (since he did acknowledge him on Takeover) and maybe Cam and Jenny since he had records about them. Other than that, Jay never really “beefed” with people. He let most of that isht slide unlike most rappers.

i hate to say this to ras marley but there is no way hip hop will ever eclipse hip hop culturally wise. hip hop has only been around for like 8 years. rock has been around forever.

jay z jay z and hip hop in general

REAL TALK - CHECK YOUR FACTS FIRST:

THERE’S A VIDEO ON YOUTUBE OF THE RADIO STATION PLAYING THE RECORD FOR THE OASIS DUDE BECAUSE HE’D NEVER HEARD IT AND HE THOUGHT THE RECORD WAS FUNNY. HE GOES ON TO SAY THAT HE JUST STATED HIS OPINION AND THE MEDIA OUTLETS MADE IT INTO A “BEEF”. HE HAS NO BEEF WITH JAY-Z, HASN’T CONTINUED TO DISS JAY-Z AND WANTS THE MEDIA TO STOP THE B.S. HE SAID HE LIKES JAY’S WORK AND WOULDN’T MIND WORKING WITH HIM ON SOMETHING.

KILL THIS THREAD.

You are joking right? Hip Hop has been around and will continue to be around. You lack of knowledge is embarrassing!

Southern Queen Dee wrote on September 29th, 2008 at 10:07 pm

@ FACT CHECK

You should fact check before you isht talk. You’re thinking of NOEL GALLAGHER the lead singer of Oasis. RealTalk is CLEARLY reporting what GEM ARCHER the bassist of Oasis had to say.

KTR wrote on September 30th, 2008 at 12:34 am

Oasis is way bigger than Jay-Z and their impact on rock is larger than jay’s impact on hip-hop.

Jay does not want it with British dudes they got more mouth on them.

and

lol@#14 mentioning 4 rappers Jay has beefed with and then says “other than that he hasn’t really beefed” LOL

ROCK N ROLL is definitely more influential than HIP-HOP… and this is coming from a hip-hop head. Rock N Roll has been around longer and has a hall of fame unlike HIP-HOP who couldn’t retainthe suppossed birthplace of hip-hop apartment complex intact.

25.
Jermaine wrote on September 30th, 2008 at 3:24 am

@KTR

Of course but that’s beause Rock has a longer history. Hiphop is a pretty new genre (started in the late 70s) but hiphop is growing a lot faster than any other genre. Hiphop has been gettin bigger and bigger all over the world every year. And many young people growing up today is more interested in hiphop than rock. Rock didn’t have a hall of fame over night you know…We’ll see a hiphop hall of fame in the future there’s no doubt about that. Hiphop is here to stay and only time will tell how big and influential hiphop is going to be in the future.

LOL…you’re trying to tell me Jay is or should be scared to get into a verbal fight with British dudes? Why the hell would he be scared of the brits?

You’re a Brit aren’t you? Stop hyping your countrymen like you guys are some dangerous people that we should be scared of. LMAO

26.
Southern Queen Dee wrote on September 30th, 2008 at 7:03 pm

@ KTR

I wouldn’t call what he had with Jim and Cam “beef”, but I mentioned them because he made songs about them. Same reason I mentioned Prodigy. I REALLY think he’s only had one CERTIFIED beef and that’s with Nas. And even if I did consider all of that beef, 4 rappers in 12 years ain’t bad. Compare that to niggas who’ve been in the game for 5 and they have 10 beefs.

Young Trump wrote on October 1st, 2008 at 12:22 am

KTR -

You have got to be kidding when you say Oasis influence on Rock is greater then Jay’s is to rap??

Oasis and Jay-Z have each sold 50 million albums each worldwide.

But thats when the numbers stop being even.

How many successful endorsement deals has Jay had?? He is worth anywhere from hundreds of millions and up. Oasis the group probably isn’t worth that much combined.

The Gallagher Brothers fight with each other like little bitches then throw cheap shots out. This is their thing. They are like the 50 Cent of Brit Rock.

I heard HOV was open to working with them I hope he was kidding. Much rather hear him cross over with a respectable rocker like Bono, Springsteen, Billy Joel etc.
