A lot of them are not allowed to have boyfriends and it's the family who decide who they should date and marry. It has to be someone from their country and the right type of family. If the daughters break those "family rules" they bring shame to the family and in many cases her family members kill the girl. It's called "honor killings" and the man who's involved with the girl is also in danger cause he could get killed aswell. Here in Germany where I live we've had many cases like this over the years.
