Loud.com Rapper/Producer Challenge
LOUD.com, a top-rated growing online resource for aspiring recording artists and producers, has successfully launched its second $100,000 Online Rap Battle and Producer Challenge. Scores of users have already visited LOUD.com and registered to compete to win the mammoth cash prize and recording contract with SRC/ Universal Motown. Over 2,000 entries have already been cast for the contest’s first round.
The current competition not only grants registered users the chance to upload their original compositions as entries for the chance to win the big prize, but also allows multiple users to work collaboratively to enter. The main contest tool is LOUD.com’s patented Online Recording Studio. This virtual studio houses brand new tracks from some of hip-hop’s biggest producers (including Sha Money XL, Play*N*Skillz, DJ Green Lantern, Havoc of Mobb Deep, DJ Khaled and Cool and Dre). With just a few clicks registered users can begin laying their vocals over these beats and then entering the finished songs in the competition without any additional hardware.
For all you up and coming rappers/producers, submit your work, you never know. Its time to put your work to the test. The judges are some of the top producers in hip-hop, if your work is hot, they should know. The rest of the press release is below:
In addition to the hugely popular $100,00 Online Rap Battle, LOUD.com has also launched their Producer Challenge. This 20 week long contest gives aspiring music producers the opportunity to add their original beats to the LOUD Online Recording Studio. Once registered and uploaded, the beats immediately become available to contestants in the $100,000 Online Rap Battle. Furthermore, the winning producer will take home $15,000 as well as a production deal through SRC/Universal Motown. The current round is being judged by multi-platinum producers Cool and Dre (Ja Rule, The Game, Fat Joe).
Unlike many other much hyped online hip-hop contests, LOUD.com is truly recruiting talent for major label stardom. The grand prize winner of LOUD.com’s last Online Rap Battle, Tha Crow, is readying the release of his official mixtape hosted by DJ Warrior and is currently working on his debut album to be released on SRC/Universal Motown.
At the end of the 20-week long contest, one winner will be chosen from the Producer Challenge, along with 10 finalists from the Online Rap Battle and be given a set of challenges. The resulting competition will be chronicled in The Finalists: Season 2, a webisode series via LOUD.com and ultimately produce the winner of the Online Rap Battle.
”We are working to present all creative instruments for our community on LOUD.com to make them future multi-faceted stars within the music industry,” explains industry veteran Steve Rifkind, CEO of LOUD.com. “By providing an improved platform to our users, we hope to make the talent pool even better this time around, and find the next hot aspiring MC and producer we can absorb into the SRC Records / LOUD.com family.”
