Bernie Mac Has Passed Away At The Age of 50
Comedian and Chicago native Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia, his publicist confirmed.
Mac, 50, had been hospitalized for about a week at Northwestern Hospital, according to his spokeswoman. A few years ago, Mac disclosed that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs.

Damn very unexpected, he had so much going on with his career which he worked so hard to build, who would think he would pass away at the age of 50. Don’t take life for granted and stop being scared to go to the doctor people.

It doesn’t have to be hiv/aids though. Sarcoidosis is a strange disease that can happen to anyone. I believe it’s also known as the mystery disease or something like that. I do know that sarcoidosis is similar to Sickle Cell in that sense that it’s a disease that is a lot more common in us black people for whatever reason.

i didnt feel bad when i heard the news, i was actually happy for him. he was suffering thru alot of pain and now he’s at peace. god called him home.
dont mourn his death, celebrate his life
and he worked so damn hard to get to his position, true example of GRINDIN, he never stopped and it payed off

naaa sarcoidosis can happen to anyone of any race, i kno it there was this chick on the real world: san diego named ‘franky’ who had sarcoidosis and she died i think sumtime last yr and she was like in her mid 20’s. man i cant believe hes gone he was not only funny but was a genuinely good dude…..we’ll miss u ‘Uncle Bernie’
