The Dreams Nightclub Turns Into A Nightmare As A Shooting Takes Place Inside

Your boy Nigel D. had on of the longest nights of his life last night at club Dreams in Atlanta. Jermaine Dupri was continuing his take over of the Atlanta with his SoSoDef Summerfest. The welcome to Atlanta party had J.D., Diddy, Usher, Nelly, Bow Wow, Gabrielle Union, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Larenz Tate, Da Brat, Lisa Raye, several NBA players and more in the building. Everything was going great until shots went off inside the club. Check below for pics and the story of what went down. I don’t beleive there was any arrest or serious injuries.(and no I didn’t leave Joy when the shooting popped off lol)

According to law enforcement sources, things got violent when club patrons heard private security hired to work inside the club were double charging people to get into the VIP area — where stars like Usher, Diddy and Nelly were partying.
Cops say pushing and shoving broke out, and as the masses were being thrown outside, that’s when a shot rang out. A security guard was treated for a shot in the arm, but has already been released from the hospital.

I could attest to the area to get into VIP being crazy, looked like a few fights were about to break out.
Jermaine Dupri chose one of ATL’s best clubs, “Dreams,” to hold his welcome to Atlanta Party.
Got there a little late but everything was cool. Security checked me three times in a row, never had that happen in a club in my life, but hey I prefer to be partying in a, “safe,” club. I was there a few hours before I seen any celebs come through, but there were plenty of sexy ladies in attendance. I was chilling and thinking of leaving when someone tells me everyone is on stage.
I was trying to get on stage for about a good half an hour with no success. I was actually about to dip but you know RealTalkNY got to get them exclusives man(Thanks to J.D. assistant and the homey Bart). So I finally get on stage and see everyone partying.

Diddy Partying Before The Shots Rang Out
Things were crazy, J.D., Usher, Diddy, Nelly, Gabrielle Union, Nia Long, etc. were all in the same section when tragedy occurred right after this picture. I didn’t actually hear a shot go off but seen people just started ducking. First it started on the right side of V.I.P. then it moved over to the left. Then all the celebs ducked and dipped with the quickness but some couldn’t get off the stage.
I wasn’t sure what the hell happened, the DJ made an announcement it wasn’t a gun shot, and said the speaker or a bottle poppin had made the the noise. So I chilled and went back to taking pics. You can see the drama unfold below.
Out of no where everyone is ducking and scrambling, bodyguards are knocking over people to protect celebs.

Nelly is wondering wtf is going just like everyone else.
People calm down and the DJ claims it was just a bottle popping or the speaker that made the noise. I didn’t find out until later that there was actually a shooting in the club. But anyway after the scrambling I calmly got off the stage and made my to the exit. I did the quick NY walk and was out the building. I’m thinking my night is over but hell no it wasn’t. The person I drove with was stuck in side. Cops shut down the entire club and no one could leave for about a hour and half. That included all the celebrities in attendance. So I was just stuck outside waiting for them to let people out. People inside were panicking trying to escape, it was a complete MESS! Even all the celebs were stuck inside until the cops gave them clearance. So while in the parking lot I took some pics lol.
Sad to see such a good night end off in such a HORRIBLE note.
Props to J.D. for putting together a great event, he can’t control the actions of others.
