realtalk… she did. she brought up ether and then was like look at how things changed, he’s your boss now. nas shook his head no… then she was like jay had played a huge role in bringing you to def jam… nas was like no but they did have us sit down and make sure it would be cool. but he ended that lil segment saying that they were cool…. it really was wendy doing her normal “stirring the put”, it seemed like genuine talk.. no trashing

Wendy needs to leave dead issues burried.

Nas said No to all the questions involving Jay. Lets say Jay did not bring Nas to Def Jam the publicity helped him gain a broader audience. Nas is a great artist he never got the recognition he deserved. I am glad he went to Def Jam his budget got bigger if anyone noticed. I am sure Jay signed him to a lucrative contract based on their history and Nas’s history in the game. The movement was supposed to show its time for fair treatment of artist who have been around for a long time. Everyone messed up Jay’s master plan. If people would have just shut the F**k up and let the man do his job they would’ve seen what he was doing. The plan was to put rappers on and let them make real money. Everything has to happen in stages he could not sign everyone all at one time. In time Def Jam would have went back to being the number label for rap artist. But, no black men want to act like crabs in the barrel instead of seeing what is developing they start complaining about who got the job. Well since he is gone L.L. Project aint receive no real push (its not a bad album especially after Jay told him the first one was trash). Nas created a industry buz (with the help of Jay on the title). When Jay and Def Jam decided to end the contract Jay said well fuck it I’m gonna put out an album promote it make my money and bounce. They don’t care about the “movement” so now yall fend for yourself. Notice NO new Rappers have been signed to Def Jam everybody scrapping for a deal. Yall should have left that man alone and let him start slow and then in the end the results would have shown. But rappers think everyone owes them something. Nobody owes anyone anything.

Def Jam was not thinking about Nas until Jay took over. When have you ever really seen Nas flying around in private jets and limo’s everywhere. He got the star treatment and still is getting it. I don’t know man give props to where props is due stop holding each other down.

Nas is a smart man but he always gets tangled in interviews he needs to brush up and be prepared for people like Wendy (Doing her job calling out celebs is apart of why she is famous and making money can’t hate). Nas knows what type of Jock Wendy is all these years come on. He could have said Jay was the president of Def Jam and I am an artist. We worked well together and nothing can take away the respect we gained from our time together. Wendy, I am like no other artist I let things in the past stay there and that’s why I am here on your show today. Shut her down with words Nas damn learn

1st of all, a mutual friend talked to LA Reid about getting Nas & Jay together to sit down and talk. After consulting with both artists and seeing that there was nolonger any anomosity the meeting was set. I’m glad that both men were mature enough to recognize history in the making. I can say that Jay had the power to crush the deal but he actually didn’t make it happen. HIP-HOP 4ever!!!!!PEACE
