A. The average listener isn’t smart enough to pick up on it

B. No one except for his accountant can “really” prove how much of a hit he is taking.

REMEMBER, most of these “moguls” don’t have 1 million dollars in “liquid asset” meaning money they can get their hands on @ anytime weather it be their mother’s pending knee surgery that she can’t afford or a shopping spree which means, when stocks are down and the economy is doing well, neither are their back accounts!!!

2.) It’s being sold to save it from going under so whoever is buyin it is doing they a HUGE favor because Vegas real estate goes up damn near by the day, but Vegas took a 15% cut over all last year due to the economy

They REALLY should have considered struggling economy and the growing price of fuel, food and living before moving their shit out to Vegas!!!

It’s not like they had A list Hollywood clientel in NY??? And YES,by A list clientel, I’m talking about the white like Angelina and Brad and Brittney and Paris and all them other bitches that attract HIGH END PRESS (not black gossip blogs and websites like this)which attracts HIGH END clientel NOT Chris Martin and Gwenneth LMAO!!! They are BOTH NOBODY’s that USE TO BE SOMEBODY but Jay and Be don’t seem to notice!!!! They’re just happy some white people like them!!!

Come to think of it…..I HAVE NEVER heard a A,B or C list Hollywood star, black OR white say NE THING about 40/40 in an article or on the red carpet or in an interview…..NOTHIN’, NO WHERE just like no one is wearing Dereon

I live here in Vegas and can tell you exactly what hppened. The place was dead on arrival. I worked at the Venetian for 3 years and know plenty of people that transfered to Palazzo including my former GM that’s developing his own spot inside the palazzo with pool access. He threw 40/40 under the bus before it even opened.

1st thing, the location inside the Palazzo was the absolute worst. Damn near in the basement. you had to walk a mile just to get to it from the main casino floor.

2nd, the management team had a fucked up attitude with everybody. I know several girls that worked at 40/40 and quit because of the bullshit (fucked up stations and schedules, not getting paid for private events, checks short…etc.).

3rd, The decor was gawdy as ever. A sea of purple and gold eveverywhere in a dark atmosphere made it look like a dungeon. the only lighting was from the display cases of sports memorialbia and the plasmas on the wall. The stadium seating was a joke.

4th, Word on the streets (the casino industry) Palazzo/Venetian was not happy with the clientle that 40/40 was attracting on the weekend nights to it’s property. You got an ultra-upscale French Riveria style Casino with a nightclub inside thats drawing in the same crowd of people that go to O.P.M. at Caesar’s. You know how we are after the club. Imagine 200-300 people parking lot pimpin’ in the casino floor after the club is over and ain’t nobody throwing black chips on the tables. The casino wants people that will come and play not lounge around and scare the hell out of V.I.P. players. 40/40 should have at least teamed up with Light Group or Tao Manaagment to get the same crowd that goes to Pure, Tryst, Tao or Preve. Once Palazzo started putting the pressure on 40/40 managment to change it’s demographics (changing the music format from all HipHop to techno and Top 40) you end up losing the crowd that you did have.

I went there a few times when my friends would come in town to visit. 1st thing they wanted to do was check out 40/40. And everyone of them never saw what all the hype was for. $30 bucks to get in all the drinks were over priced with Gratuity added on every drink even if you are not running a tab. once most peopled figured that hustle out many did not return again afterwards.

All respect to Mr. Carter but do you really think Hov the mogul is making money on this deal..wrong. What he is doing is not losing money on this anymore by getting out of the contract and letting someone take over his lease.
It’s like selling your 1 year old CLS Coupe because you can’t afford the payments so you ask your homey to give you $10,000 cash and take over your $4,000 loan payment at 18%…lol

Numbers are way down in a Las Vegas market that ain’t doing to good.
Visitation is down to it’s lowest number in years and room rates are super cheap right now because resorts are so desperate to get players in.

That lease ain’t cheap in Palazzo…and that’s real talk.

Some billionaire probally wanted to buy it to share some of the profits because any type of club in Vegas is a great investment.

MBA 101 You build and hope some wealthy investor will want to buy it and u sell rinse and repeat Jay or whoever his partner is knows what he is doing
