They definitely need to take Belly out of the title and leave it at Millionaire Boyz Club. A Belly 2 would be hot, but what rappers would you cast for it? Is the first Belly considered a hood classic?

first of all the just threw out the concept of the first movie the had a smooth still street credential dude like nas why not keep that or go with some one that fits that desciption like ummmm. a papoose and expand the cast and invest a litle more money into the movie it looked over budget and raggady really really disappointing me 2 thumbs doown

the title change to belly 2 was just for attention. Belly 2 should be directed by hype, but hype already did that and cakes off making those short videos nowadays. why would hype want to work his ass off unless its for a big pay check…which he doesnt even need…

The original Belly had one of the greatest opening scenes and also a couple of other classic scenes but overall as a movie…it was horrible. The acting was horrible, story line awful, I would put movies like New Jersey Drive and Paid in Full above Belly. The best actor in the movie was DMX and thats not saying much.

Yeah Belly is a hood classic but niguz please stop reaching? Why everything gotta be labeled or categorized now? That shit is annoying and tedious! I ain’t even gotta see the preview to know that shit is no Belly. Belly was a classic because it was a vehicle with 4 huge name stars, is was driven by the vision of Hype which is what set apart from other hood movies I.E. “Maverick pictures” movies and the like and the time in which it dropped was perfect! To do that again there would have to be similar elements involved….
Timing is all fucked up, (year of the sequel, record sales at all time low, etc.) Hype ain’t behind is and what stars they got behond it? Game and who?

Hype Williams really wanted to make an artistic, cinematic classic when he made the first Belly; and it was evident in the shots, camera angles, and cinematography. PLUS all the hood shit was well done too lol. Hype’s Belly= hood classic
