How ironic..

I been saying Nas’ decision to change his album title is probably the most ***BITCHMADE*** move in the history of hiphop or rap period.

Even beyond that… His album is gone sell like 200,000 when it probably would have sold more than Weezy Milli just cause Niggas will figure out how to get that official copy and support that nigga.

His material was terrible.. but i aint about that… He had a big chance to make history break down barriers and he fell back because of ” Record Sales. “

first off, i think its better that white people ain’t walkin’ in record stores right now askin’ for the “Nigger” album.
second, it’s the same album, just a different title. if he didn’t change it, it wouldn’t be out right now. def jam has the best opportunity for nas right now.

Man anyone who gets down on Nas for the title being changed is a either a moron or an idiot.

Yall actin like he wanted to change it. Yall gotta realize that rappers, NO MATTER HOW BIG, have very little control over the music they release. If they don’t make what the label wants the album doesn’t get released … and the rapper gets no money.

I like what Killer Mike had to say but even he should be smart enough to know that artists don’t have control over their music. They can’t take their music and release it independently … it belongs to the label. Hell, Nas would FIRST have to get permission to release the album independently… THEN record all new music. That’s the only way an album called “Nigger” can come out … and Def Jam ain’t gon let that happen.

@ 7 If Nas fell off every other rapper has to retire because he put out the best album of the year so far and Untitled is great so don’t know why people hate on it. Sales don’t mean much to Nas fuck sales its the quality of the music that should matter the most.

@ Iceberg, i think Nas had more power than people are acknowledging. I don’t fault him for changin the name simply because I don’t know exactly what he’s tryin to do or who he’s tryin to reach but I must admit killa killa said some powerful sh!t!
