two things

dr. francis cress-welsing said it best, on a certain level this is genetic. the caucasian gene is the most recessive, the african (negroid) the most dominant. The history of european colonization is born out of the fear of a genetically ill-equipped minority.

They weren’t the only ones to have empires and colonies, there was the mongol and the moorish empires to name a couple. But the european rhetoric of genetic superiority was unheard of before them.

What I’m most concerned with is the fact that the history of colored peoples, before european dominance ( a rather brief period historically speaking) is rarely talked about. Black people in America believe our history began with slavery and it didn’t. We need to look to people like Cheikh Ante Diop, Ivan Van Sertima, and others so we can understand that the knowledge from which modern society, medicine, science, technology, religion was built, came from us, from ancient Egypt and the middle east. surgery and medicine out of egypt, mathematics out of the arab world, even our numerical system came from india…we just don’t know these things and it’s a shame

The beginning of racism has to do with the emerging and taking over of the Indo-Europeans, not all Europeans or Whites period.

The Indo-European imposed new forms of thought on and took over the majority of the East. They introduced racism, patriarchy, rape without repercussions, savagery, and obliteration in war, the domesticating of the horse, iron weapons and reduced religion to a set of ritual acts and pagan gods rather than a true spiritual transformation. The first people to really feel the pain of their barbarianism were actually Indo-European women other White cultures before they reached farther East.

They lived by what they called the laws of Manu.

Today most people Black, White, Red, Yellow, Brown, all govern their lives by these laws and don’t even realize it. We all for the most part have become just as savage as the originators.

ok, so I am through and through German, I was born and raised there and I agree with 2cents that it is strange that black people all over the world and especially in the US never received reparations. Germans paid reperations to Jews though. The Nazi-past of Germany is a long time ago and racism is not very common, but why is it that racism is still so prevalent in the US?? Why is Fox News allowed, why is this hatred freedom of speech? Why are there cases like Sean Bell, Jena 6? Why did the government treat blacks like 2nd class citizens during Katrina, when “all men are created equal”? Why can’t blacks get reparations like the jewish people in Germany? Why is it too late to ask for 40 acres and a mule? I don’t think it’s too late.

Great Video!!! – This video shows the root of modern racism in America and around the world. The use of religion by white and Spanish imperialist validated the act of enslaving people of different races. Being of Haitian decent, I was proud and happy that they acknowledge the fact that Haiti was the only successful back revolt but they use pay by placing an embargo on the country which is the total exclusion from importing or exporting coupled with monies paid to the French to buy Haiti caused Haiti to be the poorest country in the western hemisphere. I know that us colored people feel disgusted when we see what our ancestors went through with Germans, but to say “fuck the Jews”, that is not right.
We ALL suffered through the racism and segragation before the Civil Rights Movement(and some of us are still suffering), but we were and are all in this together.
There has to be unity before we can have change.

Real Talk,

Lately this site has really been stepping it up, I sincerely salute you for being a well rounded Hip Hop website. Other sites/blogs should take note. Real Talk touches on everything from Hip Hop(obviously),to sports, to politics, and everything affecting our culture. I know that you seldomly get these types of post, but I 4 1 appreciate what you do.

Now, as far as this post is concern, in response’s to White Ass(FUNNY NAME)and to add to what The Monolith said. We as BLACK people have been through the most bullshit on this earth. It’s 2008 and we’re still fighting for respect. Yeah times are a little better and yes we have more opportunity today more then ever. But we still have a lot to overcome, because of the past injustice of White Amerikkka.

The Haiti situation(I am of Haitian decent also)is really fucked up!!! It is really hard for me to comprehend what’s going on in Haiti today. The people over there are really suffering.(read post#11)

The Hip Hop culture broke down some racism in this country and brought a lot of races together, but the battle is still on.
