Stop The Madness: Black U.S. AIDS Rates Rival Some African Nations
The AIDS epidemic among African-Americans in some parts of the United States is as severe as in parts of Africa, according to a report out Tuesday.
AIDS in America today is a black disease,” says Phill Wilson, founder and CEO of the institute and himself HIV-positive for 20 years. “2006 CDC data tell us that about half of the just over 1 million Americans living with HIV or AIDS are black.”
Although black people represent only about one in eight Americans, one in every two people living with HIV in the United States is black, the report notes.
AIDS remains the leading cause of death among black women between ages 25 and 34. It’s the second-leading cause of death in black men 35-44.

I can believe it. Look at how we raise the children to be… especially the males and then the females follow right along to be paid some attention to.
We raise the boys to be whores and the girls to be virtuous and then wonder why the divorce rate is so high or why they can’t seem to get along, unless they are all whorish.

Well I guess when men start covering up and stop chasing the ASS then the numbers will decrease. You can’t screw everything all the time. Sleeping with multiple women and then going home to wifey is not a good look. Well, it may take away from your looks after the body falls apart from HIV\AIDS

I’m 16 and I try to tell my fellow students that sex ain’t everything and they don’t care. They be like “whateva, nigga”. That’s why I chose not to have sex till I’m married. Because teenagers and adults just don’t care anymore. Black people as a whole today have no moral standards. As a whole all we care about is the present, as long as we having a good time today we don’t care about next year or next week even.

I don’t think people really understand the severity of this situation. I actually came across this article on CNN before it was posted up here and i just thought to myself “dam, my people are really hurting right now”. It’s funny that this study was released because just yesterday I took an HIV test and it came back negative (thank god). What disturbed me is that the nurse told me that I was the first male this year to come in and get all of my testing done. THE FIRST GUY…so here’s a message to my fellas….PLEASE GO OUT AND GET TESTED. I know it can be pretty scary sitting there waiting for your results, especially if you are really sexually active. But it’s so much better to know that to not know and possibly infect someone else. Don’t think you’re too cool to go out and get tested. You may think ur cool for not doing so, but believe me…your ass will be BURNING at the same time!!
And if u are going to be getting busy….USE A CONDOM!!! Too many kids born out of wedlock and too many diseases going around for you not to!! This is the year for change and fuck being a deadbeat baby’s daddy…let”s be men and FATHERS to your kids!

Im not surprised seriously it seem like where living in a world filled with zombie its like once you get infected your a zombie. And its a shame that where living in a world filled with humans who would fuck another human that would fuck another human. And without protection they would mistakenly fuck another human AKA zombie and get infected. And im not tryin to disrespect anybody by calling them a zombie it just an example plus it could happen to anybody. But that just how it is its like once a person catches Aids its a done deal on top of that they can’t even have sex anymore. And it will get to a certain point where people will treat them like a zombie. It kinda like gay people with or without Aids people still look at them like zombie being that their known for that. And it doesn’t have to be Aids or Hiv that a person could have to be look at as a zombie it could be any type of disease. I do believe that aids is a serious disease that is affecting america period, and that young americans should use this as a wake up call to take proper precautions like practicing safe sex getting tested and being only with those who they can trust

This shit is just killin me just look at how many of Gods children are infect With Aids that show you how many people respect and obey their religion. The bible says don’t drink don’t smoke don’t have sex until marriage and don’t do other. And what happen folks just don’t listen they ignor and disobey it. #6 ..i think u should read the artice again…… it’s not 50% of black ppl that have aids …. its 50 % of ppl who have aids that are black…the truth is black people make up 13% of the us population….5% of the entire population is hiv infected….approximately 2.5% of the population is black hiv infected… so 13/2.5 = 5
2.5 will go in 13 five times…meaning 1/5 ..so one in every 5 black americans is hiv infected…
people please make sure u understand everything u see and hear before misinforming others.

im kinda upset at the fact that- that man labled AIDS as a black disease. If you do your research you’ll now that HIV-AIDS was started by Begium scientists back in the 1950’s who while doing experiments in Africa, began using African men, women and children as “lab rats” for their experiments. Our people were injected with a formula that consisted of monkey blood. Monkeys do also carry an immune deficency virus called SIV i believe-but it does not affect them, however when it is injected int a human- our bodies cannot fight of the diesase. Its a harsh reality that our people have been though so much turmoil throughout history. ALL we can do now is in fact wrap it but, but its not an issue where I feel like we should be blaming ourselves. We have to be strong mentally now and make the right decisions when we are engaging in sexual activity!

Blacks make up less than 15% of this countries population. Around 1/5th (20%) of the population incarcerated have aids or HIV and we have a lot of brothas in jail or that have been to jail.
