50 Expects To Sell A Milli In The First Week Of Sales For His Next Album
50 Cent thinks we could see another MC sell a million copies in the first week before 2008 is over: him! He plans on dropping his next solo LP, Before I Self-Destruct, within the next few months.
“I want to focus on the positive, and I feel I’m one of the more vocal people in hip-hop,” he added. “Even when it’s not about music, people pay attention to me, because I have something to offer. I’ll continue to create quality music at a pace they haven’t seen.”

Personally I think 50 can do it but he gonna need to switch his style up a bit. It seem like to me he comes out with the same type of music and after a while, you get tired of it. I mean he got the mind set to pull it off but the way he been going so far, I think it’s a long shot but not impossible. He did a good job with T.O.S but that’s a long way from his Curtis album. So all I’m going to say, is good luck fif.

If he releases really good singles with a lot of hype around them, then I can see it happening.

he cant do it no more 4 a couple reasons
1. raps bout the same shit
2. same tactics. beef with a major artist 2 generate talk.
3. dont drop on the same day as kanye.

he’ll sell records but no milli first week, especially if he has no competition like kanye to help boost his sales. wayne sold a milli first week cuz he had a ‘cult’ like following for the last 2 yrs that built up to this. 50 used to have that kind of following til the whole ‘i got shot 9 times and i beef w/ every rapper before my albums drops’ type gimmick but that shit is real played out. i mean 50 had one of the biggest records of last yr w/ ‘i get money’ and kanye still outsold him by like 300,000 units. unless 50 releases the most amazing single ever OR finally disses jay-z then its not gonna matter. he’ll sell like 500,000

If he didnt go against Kanye and be viewed as the bad guy for that last album he would have sold a lot more than 700k. People were saying that album wasn’t that good cause they were comparing it to Kanye album. Curtis wasnt better than Graduation but it was one of the better albums of 2007. Doesnt matter if your a stan, fan, or hater you gotta respect 50 and his grind. And understand that nigga stays with a hit record or two for every solo album he drop.
He gives hit records to niggas in the crew so don’t doubt he can do a milli. I think its harder now cause of all the buck shit that took place and he might loose a little of that southern market. But we’ll see what happens. He don’t have a problem showing his hand thats for sure.
