lmfao @ chris brown not being R&B … then wtf is with you, say goodby and take you down considered? hmm. nobody just sticks to one genre of music anyway, or, most people don’t. lots of people collaborate with rock artists and everything. rihanna is just an artist, period. making music is making music. take a bow is rnb. sos is pop. disturbia is more like a mixture of both. at the end of the day, who cares? the video is amazing.

Beyonce isn’t the only R&B chick making more money than Rihalien…try A. Keys. She writes and produces the majority of her music. That right there is a killing in itself when she’s consistently going multi-plat! Not to mention she’s acting, has endorsements, sold-out tour, etc…

i think shes beautiful but not into her music but shes making a killing money wise. think bout it, shes been out for 3 yrs now and she prolly has more money then mya, swv, en vogue, monica, brandy (well she had moesha so maybe not her), and any other RnB chick in the last 10 yrs except beyonce…..shes doin her thang at the end of the day

Rihanna is not a musician. A musician plays instruments. Ri is IMO just a a no-talent manufactured artist with a pretty face like someone else said similar to Britney Spears and hannah montana. I’m not hating just call it like i see it.

lol @ #7, thanks..but on another note, I agree with u guys..I don’t see Rihanna as an R&B artist.. I see her as AN ARTIST..A musician..She doesn’t stick to ONE genre of music and thats one reason as to why she’s one of my fav. artists. She sings R&B, pop, electro-pop(loves that), rock, reggae.. She’s eclectic/creative and thats good cause cause her music is never boring.

WTF are you talking about?..It’s not about the lyrics it’s about the music you do the production of the track. Ne’Yo has written songs to her too. R.Kelly can write lyrics to a country song that doesn’t make the song R&B/soul. There’s nothing wrong with her music she can do what she wants, all I’m saying is that people label her R&B only because she’s black cause there’s nothing R&B about her music.
