  2. EastSideCompton Boy Says:

1st!…..Shit is Fire, nas is a lyrical Genious…the track with Game and CB is personaly one of my favorites..imma still cop it when it drops, because thats an album that actually deserves to go Platinum

  3. DexVex Says:

    Good album, a good 4/5.
    Way better than T.O.S.
Cosign to #2 about Nas’s lyrical capacity and the track “make the world go round”, “America” is crazy too.

  4. 187!! Says:

The “Testify” and “Project Roach” Tracks some of the best Work Nas has ever done

  5. ehh... Says:

Same Ol’ boring ass Nas preachin on a bunch of bullshit washed up topics and etc. Seriously, if I wanna listen to politics, I’ll turn on CNN or listen to a politician or etc. Lyrically the album is cool, but again Nas can’t choose a beat to save his life. Overall just wasn’t feeling it. And y’all can’t call me a hater cuz I actually enjoyed Hip-Hop is Dead.

  6. Braveheart Says:

The album is great, one of the best this year and definitely better than HHID.

    My rating: 8/10

  7. Your Mom and Dad Says:

    maaan.

i always buy music. i dont buy it because i think they deserve the money.
i usually buy it to show support for the artist. this album sounds pretty good from what ive heard but the whole changing of the album name just proved to me that he holds album sales above artistic integrity.
it also made it seem like he was using the word to draw up controversy to push the album, although he prolly wasn’t doing that, thats what it ends up lookin like.

i definitely dont support that soooo i will be burnin it.

    good music tho.

  8. kaybe Says:

Great album,it’s a…Nas album basically,4.5/5 like his last 2-3 albums. You should listen to it at least twice before fully understand everything. The good thing is that the message is there and it sounds like an album, the only track that sounds out of place is Here, obviously the joint Def Jam wanted him to do.
    Big props to Nas!

  9. Braveheart Says:

I will buy this shit definitely on July 15th.

    My fav. tracks are:

    Sly Fox
    America
    Hero
N.I.*.*.E.R. (The beat is much better than the first version)

    my highlights
    Good work Nas
Cope it when it drops though

  12. WHITE BOY Says:

Im not a Nas fan but the album is decent im not gonna buy the album nor burn it. But i have a couple of homies who will burned it and a few who will buy it. So with that being said i guess ill just barrow it from them and listen to it. I have nothing against Nas even tho i do agree with #1 wow and #5 ehh and don’t get me wrong i was a fan of Nas and he still cool. But he is just not the Nas that i use to like back then. Beside that as far as the album the concept of the album to me is hot. But the actual songs’ beats’ and features are decent but nothing special like his other albums in the pass. I personally don’t know how much the album will sell but with it being a decent album that leaked i don’t know if it will sell really well.

  13. pIFf da DoN Says:

This right here is a all around great album I like every song there’s not 1 that I can say I don’t wanna listen to when I play it….its got a message explaining the culture and the N word!! and project roach and fried chicken is sum clever shit that was impressively done but 1 of the of the greats in the game!! Everytime I listen to the album its get better def a classik and by the way I’m a hardcore jayz FaN!!!……got that feel good mix wit a meaning!!….blended smoothly…..4.5/5

  14. BigYouth007 Says:

don’t even bother bringing your hating ass feeling here.
    go eat a dick.
the N*gga album is a ICS.
no matter how bitter (#5) ya’ll ignorant can be

  15. StarrStatus Says:

shit is hardbody, hiphop at its finest

if u like real hiphop not this fake shit go cop it

  16. ocram Says:

Its on the same line of american gangsta. Its a concept album that stays true to the topic. The only song that strays is Queens get the money, and Nas goes in on that joint (the old Nasty Nas). He should have did a joint like black girl lost 2008 F/Alicia Keys, it would have been a classic. Definitely the best lyrical album since AG. 4.5/5

  17. JUNY ::bka:: skeevDaRikan (click my name y'all) Says:

haha…y’all are WEIRD!!!! no one mentions Queens get the money….do y’all LISTEN to music or just SKIM thru it??? NAS talkin bout how he willin to father the next generation, WHAT???
    every song is dope…
i have the extended version of the album, though, with nigger hatred as the intro, and be a nigger too IS on the EV, along with Middle Finger and I’m On….
just dont have Proclamation and Who Are You….otherwise, here are my track highlights:
    Queens Get The Money
    Breathe
    America
    Sly Fox
Louis Farrakhan(do y’all realize he rappin form Farrakhan’s point of view?)
    Fried Chicken
    Y’all My Niggas
    We’re Not Alone……………
fuck it, just about EVERY track….bananas
it has MY classic stamp….and i dont use that “C” word too loosely, yimean????

  18. JUNY ::bka:: skeevDaRikan (click my name y'all) Says:

oh, yea, Imma buy like 3-4 copies of it, earli…
    one for the car
    one for the crib
    one for my girls crib
and one for my babymoms crib….lol

  19. JUNY ::bka:: skeevDaRikan (click my name y'all) Says:

    heeeey, wheres my LAST comment?

  20. Bill Bigsby Says:

Album is crazy 9/10 the one track i thought would be ass cheeks is hot. I thought that chris brown shit would be weak but ” tell the hustlaz toast to the gangsta’s” shit knock.

  21. Ms. Pam Says:

will buy it- and everbody i know say they will buy it as well! it will do well!

  22. bo0gz kno be$t Says:

  23. Braveheart Says:

@ All Nas fans: You can win a autographed copy of “Untitled” on:

  24. Civil Says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDDxYMFVz48

  25. ocram Says:

As far as sales go, I think that Nas will debut #1 with at least 350,000-400,000. He has a loyal fan base throughout his career. Alot of people try to say that Nas has fallen off (not). But if you look at the stats HHID over 900,000 units in the US (and that was only yr./half ago. Untitled is off the chain, I most definitely advise people to cop this joint. REAL HIP-HOP STAND UP PEACE!!!

  26. hi hater! Says:

Imma have to check it out…

  27. Dreams Says:

    #23 RealTalkNY

It shits on the G-unit album definitely… but then again, everything shits on that horrible G-Unit album.. that shit was just garbage.

  28. Undercovermc Says:

Sly Fox, Hero and America are the stand-out tracks for me right now. It’s definitely one of the better albums of 2008 and worth buying. 4/5

  29. no Says:

Yo first off to the dude dat said it’s the same old washed up Nas ur dumb because then u turn around n say u enjoyed hip hop is dead his previous album. Niggas is expecting to hear the old nas when he is tryin to do shit never done b4 I wouldn’t wanna hear the same shit dat he was spittin 10yrs ago. And to the dude dat said he aint buyin cause he change the name, the whole point of making an album is so ppl can hear it. the white house called in concern with the title everyone would not b able to hear the shit if he can’t put it on selves wit dat title dumass so but it be concern with his content n lyrics not the name. And some dude said if u wanna hear politics u would turn on the news, did u not jus hear sly fox it’s the exact oppisite yall a bunch of dummies please just stop embarassing urselfs. Oh yea 5/5

  30. hate Says:

ggunit gunit what nas album got to do with gunit
i guess hate is the new love ya heard what fifty said is too late to hate he fucking rich ur should have did that when he came out with get rich or die tryin suckers

  31. Ahijah Says:

Haha Co-sign 29 G-Unit is group Nas is a single rapper why bring G-Unit up ? But anyways I can’t beileve every single track leaked I’ll buy it eventually but from what I heard its good but after 5 tracks leaked I didn’t bother listen to other tracks because it ruins it for me anyways.

  32. TooManyDinners Says:

    garbage

  33. 100% Says:

wouldve hoped he…did poetic interludes throughout the album with a piano undertone…he got 3 strong singles on there like a collaboration with inda irie, d angelo, john legend, black thought, the roots, talib, mos def, common, he…had better production on some of those beats…and if he went deepr and did a song like “black woman” with erika badu on the hook or something more …

anyway i like the album i listen to it from start to finish my favorite was yall my niggas.

    krossbreedz.com

  34. FUCK! Says:

    this album is SICK

    better then Carter III.

  35. ChrisfromTHADtoTHAPHX Says:

I agree with #1… This album was very mediocre and to add.. Lets just say he took his so called ” Nigger ” title well at least what he tried to name it with didnt live up to anything that was supposed to take the power out of the word….There was no substance at all…

    1.
WOW wrote on July 4th, 2008 at 2:24 pm

  38. INGRATIATOR Says:

I’m terribly excited about this joint.

I AM DEFINITELY COPPIN, BUYING, AND PURCHASING THIS ALBUM ON 07/15/2008

    We all should. ….

    july, 15 2008

  39. You Niggas Is Crazy! Says:

Yup it is better than the C3.

  40. Nigger Nigger Nigger Nigger Nigger Nigger Hatred Says:

Fire. Classic potential because it talks about relevant issues. Only time will tell so for right now I’ll give it 4 and a half out of 5 stars. Some of the beats are mediocre like everyone says but if you actually buy a Nas albums to listen to BEATS then you need to check into a mental asylum. Nas’ lyrics are top-notch as always so fuck the beats. I’ll listen to Nas rap over nails stratching a fuckin chalkboard.

  41. Optee Says:

This is the dopest album of 08, I downloaded it and I’m buying 2 copies one for the whip and one to keep in the plastic…I don’t have kids, but I will pass it on to my nephew when he is old enough to understand it….Incredible!

  42. Mr Fix it Says:

If Nas´s album dont sell more than Carter 3,then ill know hiphop really dead.
    The definition of classic

  43. Ms. Pam Says:

NAS ALBUM IS A CLASSIC! I BELIEVE IT WILL DO WELL ON THE CHARTS-BUT SELLS DON’T EQUAL QUALITY AND THIS IS DEFINITELY A MUST BUY!

  44. Anonymous Says:

Nas’ album is definitely FIRE and it’s definitely up there with AG! He’s bringing back class and lyrical meaningfulness to the hip-hop industry (and it’s much needed)! He starts off strong and he ends strong!

  45. IDK!!!! Says:

its one of them cds that you have to sit down and listen to…it has a lot of meaning in his songs..

  46. EastSideComptonBoy Says:

i’ve been trying to push the bootlegs off to people outside the bar and nobody wants to hear it. the album is capital a-s-s. nas has zero backbone considering the title got yanked along with a bunch of supporting tracks. nas should do open poetry somewhere as he has no flow and isn’t built for this.

  47. ucantcme Says:

to all the people comparing this album to others like carter 3 just stop, i aint the biggest wayne fan but that was a decent album just recognise good music. this is a sick album minus maybe 1 track, his best since stillmatic. i think hes the best rapper ever cos he can make music that influences other rappers to make topics about what he drops, look at hip hop is dead. anyways im definitly gonna by the album.

    best tracks are

    hero, sly fox, fried chicken

  48. J.P. Says:

    WOW IS A FAGGOT!
BUT YEA THAT ALBUM GO HARD

  53. john Says:

wow im really surprised at all these good comments cus this album really isnt that good to me at all ever since gods son nas has been fallin off to me and this is someone who use to think he has the goat

  54. Ms. Pam Says:

@JOHN- WHAT ARE YOU SURPRISED ABOUT? WERE YOU EXPECTICNG OTHERS NOT TO LIKE BECAUSE YOU DON’T!

  55. dabrasco Says:

this album is fire….lyrically its on another level to any of the mainstream releases outthere including AG…the risk as per record sales is that it could go over the heads of the youngins or folks too used to that diluted sht… but real hiphop heads gotta appreciate this. Nas continues to keep the bar high for what is a very very remarkable hip hop career n catalogue….

album is dope. message is dope. Breathe is my joint, I’m definitely purchasing it when it hits stores…you gotta show art like that some love.

  62. Hiphop Says:

i remember when HHID and every dumb nigga had something to say and now 2 years later everybody saying I am hip hop or Hip hop is alive, that means his plan worked cuz he got these young dumb dudes to try harder and now with this one it was the nigger controversy and now every one gonna have to shut up again. Nas is the best thing for hiphop yet we try to fight him

  63. Weezy47 Says:

It is fire. It is as good, if not better, than Tha Carter III. And they both are better than that whack, flop ass shit called T.O.S. Hope L.A.X. can live up to these two albums…

  64. T2 Says:

Album is a classic from the tracks I have heard ‘Hero’ is the best hip hop track for a long time that is going to be a dope single. The album could be his most successfull if he releases the right singles. He is in his Esco mode again he is untouchable when he is in that mode definetly his best since Stillmatic.

  65. BeinReel Says:

I bet its hot,but not feelin’ all the controversey or tha racisim.

  66. The Eye in Team Says:

It feels inspirational, NaS a Genius man.

he kills 50 on the intro too

  77. Max Says:

    The Album is ok.Nothing speacial
But i can fuck wit it

  78. Livin-Loso Says:

    Esco Lets Go is Piff
Association with Stic Man is Piff
    Testify is Piff
    Fried Chicken is Piff
    The Nigga Hatred is Piff

I Wonder how “the powers that be” will perceive this album.. Nas is always trying to expose certain issues that are intentionally covered up by the Government.. (Institutional racism, Other forms of Life) what I’m trying to say is, I Hope nothing random happens to him within the next Year or so…

Living Legend and GOAT is almost an understatement at this point. All Nas has left to do is die

  79. sideshowRaheem Says:

The album is the most well put together explorations of race in America I’ve ever heard. Nas give his view on the word Nigger/Nigga from multiple perspectives and even if you disagree with him you completely understand his positions. To put it bluntly Nas’s “Untitled” is not an album it is a complete work of art. I wouldn’t compare it to Nas’s previous albums nor would I compare it Tha Carter III or American Gangster or Graduation it is a work onto itself.

  80. tellitlikeitis Says:

anyone who listen to Nas new album and does not like it is just a dummy.. i’m not trying to diss anyone but Nas is on Another level.. you have to know whats going on around the world, know lil things about the Gov and the word nigger to get this album… its going to go over so many peoples head.. this album is not an album to party to.. this is an album to listen to and Learn.. if you want to party go to a club if you want more then just T Pain then go get this album i know i’m going to get it.. realtalk i like T Pain but i love what Nas is doing..

Album is a Five mic to me

  81. bushwick pure Says:

this shit is wack any one saying tos is wack go fuck ya mother niggaz like album with 4 songs otta 17 and say its hot…lmao since when is that a good album c3 has 4 song and the only good ones is the r&b features r u fuckn kidding me nas i havent heard anything hot coming of this album so u can sit here and say its dope and trick ya self but juss like hiphop is dead this shit is wack that track with game and chris brown my goodness how wack is that shit and queens get the money terrible nas needs to stop thinking hes a preacher and start thinking hes a rapper again if i wanna go to church ill wait till sunday and if i want to listen to music that i gotta sit there n break the shit down longer than the track is to get it i dont wanna hear it ill go get a book thats my personal review of nas as a rapper and all his bullshit albums since iam which was his last good album come on nas is it black girl lost or shorty owe u for ice u still confused my dude…lol

  82. Livin-Loso Says:

    lol @ #80

Don’t listen, and go read a book! Men can’t act as if they were still Teenagers. Once you hit 30 and up its not cool to pretend that your still 19 or 22.. No dis-respect to G-unit their album was ight

  83. gayassnigga Says:

    #81

so just cuz u only feelin some tracks on Untitled it means everybody suppsed to feel the same

who the fuck is you fool? these niggas got 50s dick soooo far down their throat its sad b.

damn this is about Nas and somehow they made it about G-Unit damn.

This album > wack ass TOS deal with it or cut your own wrist and drown in your own blood you bitch ass nigga

i fuckin hate niggaz like him

  84. Ms. Pam Says:

@80- you say the same thing over and over-no one is listening- it is obvious you ran out of things to say! Nas still is the best! Go read your book already! Nas never said he was a preacher or a teacher that is the title some give him! Just like you love T.O.S. people love Untitled- your opinion won’t change that!

  85. Pretty much Says:

    Carter 3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  86. EastSideCompton Boy Says:

@ #47…..Before you try to be like me,you need to Space Compton” “Boy you sad lil lost soul….why would i leave the 2nd comment and then come back talk as dumb as you are….Get a life my n*gga..n*gga,the cloest you even been to compton was the “put you on to game video”..stay in ya lane boy

  87. The Eye in Team Says:

I’m a Unit fan but RTNY review of T.O.S is on point. You gotta see the album for what it is though, it’s G-Unit NOT NaS so I don’t know what you was expecting, that’s why the review come off kinda harsh.

  88. ya da Says:

^^^cosign….gunit will always get the worst reviews even if their album is hot becuase they always expect gunits projects to take over the world…

all their good projects will be considered flops..
all their greats will be considered ok…
and all their ok will be absolute trash…

and its unfortunate it has to be like that because fans cant appreciate the music for what it is..

they complain about niggas in the south snappin and poppin and licking wrappers and doing gay shit…

then the unit delivers something hard…
and the fans still bitch and complain..

THATS WHY HIP HOP IS DEAD!!!!
THE Fans complaning simple handidly killed it

  89. HAHAHAHAHA Says:

HEY RTNY THANKS FOR ADVERTISING “STEALING MUSIC” AND LETTING EVERYONE KNOW THE WHOLE ALBUM LEAKED SO THEY CAN GO DOWNLOAD IT EARLY!!!

IM SURE NAS WOULD APPRECIATE THAT….

    “STOP THE MADNESS”

  90. The Eye in Team Says:

Feel sorry for all those who doubted Nasty NaS would deliver. smh

NaS best album since Lost Tapes.

  91. WHITE BOY Says:

co sign #80 bushwich…LOL my dude!!! Exactly my point LOL know disrespect to Nas but the album is decent. And why is everybody calling this Untitled album a classic that bullshit. This album hasn’t even come out yet and dude calling it a classic. I mean in my opinion i would actually say that Tha Carter 3 is a classic and T.O.S is a Hit those 2 are the best album of 2008.

Nas’s album ain’t gonna be a classic nor a hit and it ain’t gonna be the best or his best album of 2008. I mean Nas’s album wasn’t even promoted rite his single were decent and it not enough to sell. And with the tracks being decent that isn’t good enough to call it a classic. And a far as the untitle getting radio played and his video being shown on the music channel it a negetive. And because of that i really don’t think his album will sell he just doesn’t have enough buzz. I mean alot of people are not even talkin about this dude album. And it funny cuz most people still think that the title of his album is still called ‘Nigger’. In my opinion i even think that when busta rhymes album blessed drop in August that will also be better and sell better then Nas’s Untitled album. As far as sell go’s well the Nas album ain’t gonna sell more then Tha Carter 3 T.O.S and Blessed watch.

The only album of 2008 that you can call a classic is lil wayne Tha Carter 3 and 2nd g-unit T.O.S busta album Blessed is also hot. But Nas Untitled album is not hot and it not a classic it decent and with it being leak all i can say is LOL.

  92. pleasestealmydemo? Says:

    im going to buy 2.

  93. WICKEDNESS Says:

it’s like this simpletons can’t digest Nas music simple as that. Nas music is not for everybody. If you are an open minded person then it doesn’t apply to them.. Nas music mostly is for 25+ when you look at it. you can expect young heads to like his album…. 1

  94. complexity Says:

It it taking me a minute to understand the greatness of this album.

  95. dabrasco Says:

96 is right…Nas is a classic litmus test to know if a hiphop/music fan is a simpleton or not…. cos if you aint, there is no way you wont atleast appreciate the lyricism or content of this album….especially if you are a black person.

  96. WHITE BOY Says:

co sign #86 ya da….It all do to jealousy man and even if g-unit creat a classic and most haters think its a classic. They would still look at it as a classic album but they wouls still hate and probablysay that it not classic enough. I mean it seem like if g-unit doesn’t shoot up to the type of level and success that they had with ‘Get rich or die tryin’ or ‘Beg for mercy’ then it ain’t shit. In my opinion 50 standard is not as high as it was back then but to most artist now and days 50 standard is high. And i think his level of music is growing and changing and it becuase he becomming more succesful. And i don’t expect him to be the same old 50 and that why fans are probably mad and once the madness turn into hate. Then fans are gonna think that every song that g-unit create is wack which is a shame for fans. I mean you can hate g-unit but you can still love there music but it seem like fans who would die lying just to say that g-unit is wack when they know tat there hot.

I think if 50 was the same old rapper from back then then he would be like most rapper who could of build there success. But dew to bad business and lack of smartness those rapper done fell off and are still living in the hood. 50 is not a dumb business man he know what he’s doing and as far as his music a solid album from him should be good enough. I think fans get a kick out of saying that 50 is wack i guess they say that maybe because they want another classic album from him but what is a classic album. I mean fans talk alot of shit as if it easy to make music and it not so much good music. but if it not the type of music that they want t hear then they think that being unappreicative will help creat good music. And im sure fans expect more good music from g-unit but if they can’t even appreciate good music alone then why should g-unit more good music. It seem like if g-unit make one lil mistake in muisc fans then get offend by that with give them a chance to flat out call g-unit wack. And i think the reason why is because they know how good g-unit were and still is and to creat a album in a mixtape formate to me is creative. I mean i could of swear that fans were bumpin both g-unit mixtape and 50 even said that since it did so well he was gonna create a album in a mixtape formate and fans were saying that he should.

But now for some reason i guess since g-unit didn’t please the fan and gave them what they wanted. And they probably didn’t go outta there ways to create better material now fans are acting all selfish and unappreciative. But in my opinion i think fans find it fun easy and amusing to not appreciate g-unit music. And im guessing it because g-unit didn’t brake there neck 100% to give each and every different fans or should i say hater what they want. I think what people should understand is that everybody is different when it come to music if there one song an album that you don’t like the next person will like it. And out of 16 track on the T.O.S album and the haters are telling me that there not every one good track on the man please ya’ll are some dishonest haters.

  97. WHITE BOY Says:

I meant to say #90 ya da’

  98. Jones Says:

I like Nas’s music, but as a person he’s a hypocrite. who is he to comment on slavery? when he’s never experienced it himself. Throughout the whole album, he makes out he’s been a slave and all that bullshit. Like someone else said if I wanted to listen to politics n shit; i’d watch CNN.

  99. shine95 Says:

hip hop went from smart clever fans to dumb and stupid fans. fuckin shame. guess it’s all about that bouncy beat. forget the lyrics and content. some of the younger crowd became a bunch a simps when all that bullshit rap came out in the past. lyrics is dead. people don’t care if somebody is sayin somethin nowadays, which tells me people don’t listen to rhymes anymore just that beat. that’s it. that’s what hip hop is now. just the beat. forget the lyrics.

  100. OwwwwwwwWWW Says:

    Carter 3 > Untitled>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>P.O.S>>>>>T.O.S

  101. Ms. Pam Says:

@101- Hypricrite? That’s like calling every rapper a hypercrite who talks about drugs, guns and killing people- knowing they have never experienced such! Nas is speaking on racism which exist! If this was all negative commits towards Nas everyone would be co-signiing!

  102. Ms. Pam Says:

People want to see Nas fail so bad- but he always proves the nasayers wrong!

  103. Yeah Says:

“I like Nas’s music, but as a person he’s a hypocrite. who is he to comment on slavery? when he’s never experienced it himself. Throughout the whole album, he makes out he’s been a slave and all that bullshit. Like someone else said if I wanted to listen to politics n shit; i’d watch CNN.”

    BINGO.

  104. Pounce Says:

I think its a really good album, not a classic. I was calling it a gimmic for a while. Felt he was trying to get attention to generate album sales with the album title. Similar to Hiphop is dead. But I stand corrected after hearing this shit. Its not a album that will bump or get you to sing along with every song but its not to positive where it turns people off.

Why havent people called it what it is though? Its a concept album in my eyes and ears. All you niggas making comments about its art and classic need to go stand in line for it and not just get it online. I’ll be coppin it on sometime during the first week.

  105. ucantcme Says:

laugh at #94. the carter 3 was decent but get the fuck out of here, a classic. the man spits lines of bullshit sometimes that don’t make sense but just sound cool to u.

e.g. hector/ camachoman/ randy savage far from average. wtf. lol
i get better with time like a watch. no u dumb fuck a watch doesnt get better with time.

tougher than nigerian hair. lol who said nigerian hair was tough.

some songs are good though i can’t hate but carter 3 is not a classic. the amount of albums does not represent quality just the number of people that like u. and u don’t need to be liked to make very good music. people care too much about how much a album sells these days

this album is very good, and as far as lil wayne he aint even in the top 20 best rappers of all time.

  106. WHITE BOY Says:

#108′…Im sure the reason why you think lil wayne’s lyric are bullshit that don’t make sense. Is probably because the type of music you listen to is filled with bullshit lyric that don’t make sense. Tha Carter 3 was a classic like i said and that just my own opinion. Now if you have a problem with that then you can go fuck yourself. And just for the record lil wayne doesn’t have to be on the top 20 best rapper. But you can’t hide the fact that dude is lyrical like a mothafucka. And im sure the reason why you don’t think that Tha Carter 3 is a classic is because you don’t appreciate qaulity music. Classic album now and day are probably not as powerful as they were back then. But classic album still do exsist and at this point lil wayne album to me is a classic. It probably the lowest form of a classic album but it still a classic to me. I mean just listen to a few track and you’ll know what im talking about. I mean dude was talkin some real shit on the album he rep hiphop and the creativeness in certain song were amazing.

  107. Livin Loso Says:

Fuck does c-3 have to do with anything…??? Album is decent but this is the “Untitled” review Peace to Wayne and much success to his album and the rest of his career. BUT, back to Untitled being Fire.. 4.5 Mic album

  108. ocram Says:

Why in the hell are all these G-unot stans commenting on Nas’s review. 50 is not a lyricist nor is he even a great rapper. It’s a total disrespect to hip-hop to consider that ignorant recycled bullsh-t a work of art. Some of your comments make me think that ya’ll aren’t hip-hop at all. If you don’t like this album I guess you didn’t like Public Enemy KRS-1 Ice-Cube X-Clan (that rebel music) HIP-HOP STAND UP, LET’S BUMRUSH THE SHOW ON JULY 15TH PEACE!!!

  109. SMH Says:

No Disrespect to Lil wayne, but his name shouldn’t be mentioned among a Nas or Jay-z(point blank)….Anyway Nas,CONGRATS on a Damn near Flawless Album…all yall that say this album is boring, yall need to expand yall minds from something other than “my rims so big” or “i sold crack at the age of 7″….everyone sold crack, let rappers tell it…David banner said it best “if everybody got they dope for so cheap,i got 55 stacks bring a couple bricks to me..but you aint got it Nigga…The game is so Throwed”

  110. ucantcme Says:

@108, i listen to every1 so that must mean that all hip hop is bullshit then. Untitled in my opinion is better than c3, every1’s entitled to their opinion, so u can think that. both albums are good but this 1 is better in my opinion but either way it is a good year for hip hop, with l.a.x to come exit 13 ice cubes raw footage

  111. weezyana Says:

If Nas would die tomorrow this album would be considered the best hip hop album of the century! 5 solid mics REAL TALK!!

  112. WHITE BOY........ Says:

^^^^^^113….I never judge you about your opinion being that your opnion doesn’t really matter to me. All i said was C3 was a classic and it is being that if you compare the C3 to lil wayne other album the C3 is a big step up. And most of the track on his album touch on subject and situations that his other album never talked about. But i do agree with you about it being a great year for hip hop being that the most talented hiphop artists are droppin LP.

  113. Livin Loso Says:

Real Talk, I’m afraid for Nas safety.. The Content on this album is allot to digest.. You just don’t go from talking that Queens Negro Street talk to Immortal Technique meets Malcolm X and think the mainstream world will let this slide. I Hope hes aware of how powerful the United States Government truly is, I also hope he is aware that his civil liberties can easily be violated due to provisions of the Patriot Act, (Which means the Gov can invade Mr.Jones privacy and keep a close eye on what he watches and reads)

I still Fuck with this album, Braveheart to the Graveyard

  114. It would be 25-under consider this album garbage... Says:

    @96

Usually people would say that others don’t give a shit about what you think about other’s comments & I respect that. But I’m 16 yr. old and I’ve been listening to Nas ever since I was VERY LITTLE, In the 90’s little. This album is the jam and I’m gonna get this July 15th. But I understand your point, youngers fans of the generation of Hip-Hop are just unbelievable to me. I used to be ignorant & cocky, trying to become someone I’m not and trying to fit in by listening to the mainstream outlet of Hip-Hop, beside people were telling that me that the past is the past you need to learn how to adapt to the music now(knowing that deep down to the soul of mine, I never liked it at all). But, as I grew older, I started to become more diverse with music, listening to Jazz, Rock, Overseas, Old School stuff, etc… and realize what the fuck I was listening to when it came to Hip-Hop music. My instincts were telling me to stop listening to this bullshit, listen to something real, and fuck your friends basically. So, you made a good point, but also (if I made add), It seems to me as if my generation listen to bullshit you all call “Hip-Hop”: (Ex. Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Shawty Lo, Young Jeezy, etc.), because were trying to find a sense of belonging. Like I said trying to fit in or becoming something you know damn well you’re not, and I know better.(This is for people in general, not many people listen to mainstream Hip-Hop for my reasons I’ve listed, but I see a lot of that at my school).I’m not listening to mainstream shit just so I could join the bandwagon. Hip-Hop, well music in general can’t control anyone, but it does have some kind of an effect on a person. And the way Hip-Hop is now, it makes me think “what’s the point of listening to this?” But, I’m going to remain my own, and support Nas for this album, his artistry, AND originality, while others try to degrade him, talk foul about him because he’s rapping about different subjects that actually matters to soceity. That inspires me to be different and to be comfortable with my who I am instead of trying to be in some hyporcitical clique by using music from Lil Wayne. I don’t fuck with bandwagons.

  115. jay-Ace Says:

coping it on JULY 15 IMA BE THE FIRST IN LINE lol

  116. Mphake Says:

I don’t mean to be prejudiced but this album isn’t meant to be enjoyed by skateboarders now hip hop converts. This album touches on black history, poverty, police brutality, slavery, incarceration, teen pregnancy, basically the subjects that are relevant to blacks on the bottom pit of the economy, so how can impressionable middle class white boys that know nothing about struggle relate? And if you are illiterate or oblivious to day to day issues that affect black people internationally you will not appreciate this album, but please you can’t take anything from the man’s artistic credibility and his boldness to push the envelope. This is a mature work of art by Nas, In my opinion his best post the 90’s decaying hip hop credibility.

  117. Ildeuce Says:

Ok let me step in to stop this madness about my dude Nas. The reason that it is so many Nas haters is because their favorite rapper can’t do what he do. So they gotta develop imagery subconsciencely to block out any thought that he ain’t the greatest doing it. If you don’t believe me than ask yourself why would they post a comment on a Nas site to defend they favorite rapper, need I say more…lol. Come on you can’t put a rapper in the same category as an emcee. It’s like the theory of Rap vs. Hip-Hop. KRS-ONE said it best “Rap is something you do, and Hip-Hop is something you live.” They favorite rapper is just in the game for the sake of paper a (hustlers spirit) though it is a great accomplishment to sell 1.5 in a week, I don’t think it was a benefit to Hip-Hop at all. Only because we can’t feed and live off what he says, due to the lack of substance presented. We just live in the moment recite a couple of lines that doesn’t make sense but because he delivered it in what ya’ll would call a intellegent tounge it’s acceptable for 2-3 months until the next Rocko or Mims drops. How can that be a classic when you can’t bump it 5-10 years from now. I bet ya’ll forgot what was the first single off of Wayne’s first album or even the Carter 2. I don’t even need to go in depth about what an emcee brings to the table classics like “One Love,” “Dead Presidents,” “Juicy,” “Brenda’s got a baby,” or even “Bling Bling,” a tainted classic but a classic that formed a hole other state of mind that brainwashed a hole era.

And to even prove that these rappers should never be compared to an emcee just compare what Nas dropped at 17 and what Soulja boy dropped at 17.

Oh yeah big up to #117 and I’m out.

“Untitled” the most relevant album since James Brown’s “Out of Site” album. Word.

  118. vman Says:

people, what are you some of yall listening to?are some of you for real?seems like we have a generation of supposed hip hop fans who dont know hip hop for shit-your embarassing to the culture-if your one of those guys who called ‘carter III’ a classic then im talking to you…if your said this nas album is ‘boring’ then im talking to your dumb ass-how old are some of you?huh…you lil children’s need to listen…LISTEN!!

This is the album of the decade, not the just the year-this album is what a hip hop album is supposed to be-not one track is weak, his lyrics and flow is consistent all through, and it has a strong, important message-this is best nas album after illmatic, nas has nothing left to prove-he can walk away from the mic now, coz this will be the greatest part of his legacy…5 mics without a doubt and if you cant appreciate the depth of this album i suggest you
stay away from this ‘hip hp’ shit, its not for you…

  119. Seriously Though Says:

kids today are fuckin idiots… this the best album yet this year, yes its better than Lil Wayne’s Carter 3. do all you kids think rap is about money, cars, beats and bitches?

  120. DSKi Says:

Some people would rather lick a rappers lollipop then be educated or informed or even empowered. It takes a certain mentality to relate to what NAS is bringing. It all depends on a certain level of intelligence. You might dig the beat to A MILL but everybody damn sure will not be able to relate
to being a millionaire all they can do is celebrate the rapper who holds that status. Now you think NAS do not have a MILL? please. NAS will continue to grow and elevate his thinking.

  121. Capt' Says:

LoL @ some of these idiots comparing fuckin’ Gunit to Nas. Sometimes i feel like goin’ upside the heads of some of these morons who actually think lil wayne is better than nas. Dude touches on relevant topics that every upcoming minority should be concern with. this album will go over most niggas heads cause you need at least a complete high school education to fully enjoy the lyricism on this album.

  122. Capt' Says:

    co-signs #123 comment.

  123. Anthony Says:

This is da best album dat is goin 2 come out dis year… its not da best nas album bc he has had so many great ones through out da years… it was written bein my fave of all bt dis 1 is up there….the track america is my fave da track wit game is fire hero is fire….if u think dat c3 is better den dis album u dnt no wat u r talkin abt…do u understand wat true lyrics are do u c how nas kills it in fried chicken n project roach lil wayne will nvr b on da level nas is on.. da c2 was hot bt he fell off n how do ppl say phone home is a good song dats da stupidest track i ever heard…..i am def goin 2 cop dis album

  124. REAL TALK Says:

THIS NAS ALBUM IS A HUNDRED TIMES BETTER THAN LIL WAYNES CARTER 3….. LIL WAYNE SPITS BULLSHYT DUMB SHYT STUFF THAT MAKES NO SENSE ALONG WITH THE FACT HE HAS NO CONCEPT>>… NAS HAS EXTRAORDINARY DELIVERY AND HIS LYRICS ARE FIRE ON THIS ALBUM…. THIS IS BETTER THAN ANY ALBUM THAT HAS DROPPED SO FAR… REGARDLESS IF THIS SELLS MILLIONS OR THOUSANDS<< IT IS THE BEST WORK OF 08 SO FAR..,. WHOEVA ELSE HAS AN ALBUM COMING OUT HAS 2 COME CRAZY HARD LYRICALLY

  125. REAL TALK Says:

LIL WAYNE ALBUM IS 4 STUPID ASSES WHO DO NOT LIKE 2 THINK LOGICAL AND THINK IN DEPTH

  126. mjr1114 Says:

    go buy this cd.
    it won’t be a waste.

  127. Mo-Steez Says:

Nas has been the number 1 since his time, the albulm is definately good and worth buying, hes got the messages and the melodies. Big up to Nas and and to all the revolutionaries

  128. The Known Unknown Says:

Another classic from the Hip Hop’s own genius. What’s funny is that it may turn out to be the best record of the year lyrically no-one is touching this, Carter 3 is ok, but youngin has alot to prove before he starts saying Jay, BiG, and him… that’s funny. Big ups to Nas for continuing to make music, not “rap” and challenging new and old rappers to do the same. His album may not go 2 times platinum but his material is priceless, and when he finally lays the crown down, who will have a memorable and complete track history. A true legend, Last of a Dying Breed, HIPHOPFOLIFE

  129. Ty Shelley Says:

Here we go again! I know life is not a smooth road n there’s gonna be bumps, but this man (Nas) is always gettin ridiculed fo’ everythang he does. Dis nigga is the greatest MC of all time (ask Kanye West). I know of no other MC who gets the worst end than my man, Nas. Dis latest album showin niggas, he aint goin nowhere anytime soon. I got every album he has out n will continue 2 support da best 2 ever breathe on a microphone. Nas, I’m yo biggest fan n in my book u r da G.O.A.T! Keep up da good work, my nigga.
