Nas’ Untitled Sells 187k Coming In #1
Nas’ album sold 187,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, becoming the rapper’s fifth No. 1 here. Nas’ prior album, 2006’s “Hip-Hop Is Dead,” also debuted at No. 1 but sold 354,000 over Christmas week.

Wasn’t sure how good the album would do with the videos not getting too much play on television but Nas has a fan base that makes sure to buy his latest work.

The album will go gold for sure. Nas is gonna be a consistant gold seller. Way better then that Carter 3 bullshit that people dare call a classic. Classic moments? yes. Hip Hop is Dead did 340,000 this joint did 187,000????i think i qualifies as a FLOP the hip hop is dead single wasn’t being played on 106 or TRL so YEAH people this album is a FLOP is #1 album by default the album is still great but it is still a FLOP people.

its clear that this album didn’t cross over. with the whole nigger contraversy, it scared off alot of loyal fans that just couldn’t support it. the white masses aka cross over audience clearly didn’t support it. that being said, could’ve-would’ve-should’ve. if he had released hero as the lead single without all of the contraversy, it would’ve sold alot more (i honestly believe). like he said on the album (he always puts himself in the sacrificial position). i’m sure glad i bought it (classic)PEACE!!!
