  5. likeabite Says:

i wouldn’t say done but there are just a lot of new vocal voices…Jesse shouldn’t have said what he said knowin how people pay attention to him

  6. Detroit P Says:

Nas is good and all…but he need to Shut the Fuck up…he sound stupid..cus he a old nigga in rap…so some young dude can say the same thing to him…Nas wasn’t marchin for nuthin when it mattered so he need to shut up

  7. Pounce Says:

Jesse Jackson got caught hating. I understand Barack has to accept the apology cause hes in that type of position. But when you make a comment like I want to cut his nuts off and you do it in secret whispering then you mean that shit. So the apology was more about him getting caught saying it and not him not meaning it.

It was a hot mic but what does he expect from Fox News. Fact of the matter is he took Obama’s comments about men taking care of their children personal because he pays child support for the kids he had out of wedlock. Nas shouldn’t give this cat any publicity and dont mention Jeezy and other rappers in the same sentence as Obama lol. Obama is the most famous and popular black man of all time. Bar none!

  8. Storm90057 Says:

That statement just mad me download his shit… im not buying a damn thing… Its a lot of people THAT ARE OLD that paved the way for us… Fox did that divide shit and peeps playing right into it.. including NAS. Nas act like he never said some shit about another black man. DAMN how soon we forget.. Its sad how people disrespect the “OLD” One day we all will be old.. Then what?

The game had rules now its all fucked up…

  9. WHITE BOY Says:

Co sign Nas on what he said it seem like he paying lots of attention to politic and most of the bullshit that go’s on in the news. I personally hate JJ he a 2 face loser dude talkin shit then want to apologize fuck outta here. Big up to everybody who supporting Barack we don’t need know jesse jackson AKA uncle ruckus showing his hatred toward obama. I personally don’t respect or pay attention to anything that jesse jackson says. Being that half of the thing that come outta his mouth is a bunch of BS. And it true about what Nas said jesse jackson’s time is up and we definetly dont want to hear old voice we need new voices.

  10. C Says:

Nas is stupid fior that comment. YOUNG JEEZY IS HE SERIOUS JEEZY PROMOTES DRUGS AND VIOLENCE MAN RAPPERS ARE STUPID EVERY ONE LAUGHING AT THE MAD RAPPERS

  11. Ms. Pam Says:

Nas is right, but I think he ws just speaking out tof anger though! Because hip hop artist has caught such a bad rap about their use of language and here is Rev. Jesse Jackson stating “I want to cut his nuts off! How can he criticize rap artist when he is using such volgure language as a rev.! He is a Hypercrit!

  12. WHITE BOY Says:

co sign #6 detroit p’….good point also

  13. Ms. Pam Says:

#10- i don’t think he really meant to say Jeezy, he kind of stumbled over his thoughts trying to think of another rapper to say! He was speaking out of anger a little bit! Jeezy is not a great representation but obviously someone feels he represents their struggle! People sell drugs and become involved in violence for a reason- and Jeezy appeals to that demographic! It is not always easy to walk the right path and besides some of our favorite rappers crossed that line of selling drugs before they became the Jay-z’s, Nas’, T.I.’s,Snoop Dogg’s, Ice Cubes’ and David Banners’ ect!

  14. Mel Says:

Is not that serious! If that’s the case he should apply that same method to Hip Hop. All you old ass niggas are done!

  15. Ms. Pam Says:

@Whiteboy- of course you would co-sign #6 your anti-Nas! Nas not worried about some young dude coming in the game- there are plenty of younger rappers and not one has yet caused Nas to hate on them! Jesse is cleary hating on Obama!

  16. MAc Says:

Nas IS an old ass nigga lol

  17. Ms. Pam Says:

#8- You were gone to download it anyway- don’t use this as an excuse! Fake fans always look for excuses- real ones don’t let shit like this change their opinoin so easily!

  18. E$ Says:

I don’t need Nas to tell me Jesse is done, Jesse been done since he made that baby on the DL

  19. Nolia.Slim@gmailcom Says:

Jesse Jackson is what we all a bitch ass nigga.

  20. Trapstar- not Says:

Nas is only 34. Jeezy turns 31 this year. Face it people… being 30 in hip hop aint old no more. Kanye is 31, Kweli is 32, Bun B is 35, Luda is 30, Common is 36, Plies is 31, Rick Ross is 31, Faboulous is 30, Snoop is 35, Jay is 38, Shawty Lo is 32 and the list continues.

  21. Why Says:

Nas needs to stfu because no matter what negatives JJ has, he’s done more for black people than Nas ever will.

  22. Jesse Jackson McCain Says:

What The hell Have I done for Blacks Post The Civil Rights Movement?

Where Was I During the Regean Bush 1 and Clinton years

I have done just as much maybe even Less Than Mr.Jones

  23. okokokaay Says:

REAL TALK ONLY TIME YOU SEE JESSE AND AL IS WHEN ITS AN OPPERTUNITY TO BE ON TV.

WHEN’S THE LAST TIME THEY STOP BY YOUR HOOD.

  24. anons Says:

Nas, David Banner and Young Jeezy?? Nas just lumped himself in with Obama??

The rapper’s ego is an amazing thing.

  25. WHITE BOY Says:

#15 Mr Pam’… Why don’t you shut the fuck up for once and stop tryin to start a dog fight over the internet. I never agree with #6 all i said was good point that all. I also gave my opinion on the topic and Nas’s basically being a rapper is way different then him giving his opinion about jesse jackson. So if you have problem with my opinion and your mad that i co sign another blog. Then you can go eat some scooby doo snake then crawl inside your lil doggy house bitch and go sleep. And not only that isn’t your comment suppose to be aim at #6 why tell me as if i really care about your opinion bitch please.

  26. Nigger.....There I Said It Says:

Co-Sign #20. Everyone saying that Nas is old. Since when is a 34 year old an old man? Thats not even old in rap anymore. Just to add a few more names to his list: Ice Cube is 39 and still killing shit. I think Scarface is 37, 50 Cent is 33, Method Man and Redman are 37 and 38 respectivel, (Tell me that THOSE to niggaz are old) Ghostface is 38 and released 3 albums in less than 2 years, both Outkast member are 33, Eminem is 35, etc, etc, etc…

  27. for real?? Says:

first of all co-sign #20.. being in your 30’s and rapping is NOT old. Nas just got started when he was young.

second, Nas can call Jesse done. sometimes his actions detracts from his message. Jesse was influential back in the day b/c he was in touch with the people. Sorry but he’s so far gone now. At his age, he’s just outta touch with the youth and the real problems ppl esp. in the urban centers face.

also, his issue w/ OBAMA is that he takes all that personal responsibility stuff to heart b/c he got caught creeping and is now paying child support on a child outta wedlock. he preaches one life and lives the other.

Nas is a voice to the young people. Jeezy is a voice too (he’s realizing the influence he has a rapper that’s why he been encouraging people to vote OBAMA every time a mic in his face). Rappers are role models like it or not.

  28. Ms. Pam Says:

@whiteboy - stop with the name calling- my mistake whiteboy! You are so hostile!

  29. mike Says:

I agree with #6. The same shit could be said about Nas in the rap game. First of all the past is part of the present. Your present is part of the future. David Banner, Jeezy?! Nas shut the fuck up! You is not holding shit down. Who made nas the grandmaster to all the problems of racism? We seen them march, we heard their speaches, we don’t want to hear that shit no more? So what we want to hear Nas, yo stupid ass? What because Jessie said what he said, he ain’t black no more? Motherfuckers is fuckin ignorant. Black people need all they resources against this giant beast called America. Black man needs the black left, the black right, and the black middle wings. Black man needs the old, the middle aged, and the young to be unified. This is what Allah wants. So the shit these rappers is talking about sounds fucking stupid. Martin Luthor King, and Malcolm X had totally different views on how to fight the enemy, but they both saw the enemy they had was one and the same, an in that they found a commonality to co-exist. Niggahs talking about Sharpton, but if you a victim of a racist crime this niggah will get you some paper. Will David Banner give up paper to victims of racist crimes? Is he doing that right now? Hells no. But he might give us a lil record denouncing racism, so it is all good. But all that publicly bad mouthing the next blackman in front of the white media is a fuckin sin. Nas committing that same sin jessie committed, by even speaking on Jessie’s comments. Motherfuckers ain’t really ready yet. But it kills me when these dudes who rap, try to comment about the people who struggled in the civil rights movement. I just feel like they have no right. Most rappers ain’t even real about their criminal experience, they not real about they sexualities, so what would make me believe that they is real about the real struggle? Who are they to speak on anything, but what goes on in the music industry. And that industry has historically kept black people down, by stealing and pillaging black people’s own ideas, and talents, so how does a rapper correlate into a tru revolutionary? It’s either about the money, or it’s about the people, i ain’t seen one rapper yet who is truly and sincerely about both. This system won’t allow it. If you make that real music, you will be blackballed (Public Enemy, Krs1). And if you get the money, you have to be like Jay….quiet. Yeah he makes his little statements against crystal champagne, but he is also involved with the Barclays, a company that has been traced to the days of slavery. He’s involved in a very contraversial business deal involving the Nets and his hometown Brooklyn. Many black people in the surrounding area are going to be displaced by this move. Is Jay caring about this? I mean Jessie was the first Black man to run for President of the USA, doesn’t any one realize this? It was Jessie, not Obama. I mean Jessie don’t deserve no props? I can’t condone what he allowed to become public, but i damn sure can’t tell that man how to feel. this man is in politics, and he doesn’t feel Obama, what is wrong with that? the only thing Jessie needs to do is as a fellow Democrat is respect the fact that Obama has won the democratic primary, and is the favored presendential elect for the Democrats, that is all, he doesn’t have to agree with Obama’s politics at all. Rappers is lil ass dudes in this game, so to make broad sweeping claims, or to disrespect people who have walked the walk, who lived in those times, when a black man would be murdered in front of a crowd, and no one would do shit, not one person in the crowd, not the police, and not even the next black man would do shit. I mean it must’ve been very scary in those times, cause everyman was on his own two feet, and had to have alot of courage. You just don’t throw away resources like that. Men that lived through that are like living books, valuable and precious, regardless. Who shall cast the first stone? Who is without sin? Nas need to chill, he feel like that about Jessie, well honestly i feel like I would never want a niggah like Young Jeezy to be my leader. Young Jeezy you got to be out your fucking mind Nas. Chuck D, and Krs1, the X-clan, and Africa Bambatta are the only outspoken rappers who have based much of their reputations on being active participants within the struggle. Nas, please yo, you have not put in no work to be speaking about Sharpton, Jessie, Rangel, or any other black politician who you not liking because they not feeling Obama, fuck outta here. Respect is the order of the day. Jessie need to respect, but these lil ass rappers like Nas, and Banner they need to respect too. I mean right now Obama is keeping his distance from Muslims, he’s keeping his distance with his Pastor who is vehemently pro-black, anti white government, and this dude obama denounced him. He’s is now doing an about face with the Iraq situation, he may keep the troops there longer, so it’s like motherfuckers can believe what they want, cause trust me, in my opinion, Obama is not the second coming. He is going to be inheriting a very fucked up country if he wins this election. For Nas I got one thing to say, you should have been made this album a long time ago. You still learning lil bro, don’t throw stones, when you your self is still living in a glass house. The elderly are national treasures, so watch your mouth nas, cause right now you talking like an ignorant youngin. Boogie Down stand up! Peace to the Gods and Earths, Black people stand the fuck up. Puerto Rican people stand the fuck up!

  30. nat-turna Says:

“if you make that kind of music you’ll be blackballed ” wow should we take you seriously because honnestly you lost me with that line . nas is one of the only rapper who ever stood up for something in the game so if that old ass JJ is hating then he can get it start taking of your child and your responsabilities and stop blaming other people for your lack of parenting if your black i hope you take care ou yours peace …………

  31. DYoung Says:

Louis Farrakahn himself stated that emcees are the new voice and that the hip hop generation has the power to make incredible changes. Jesse Jackson was salty fam thats all but it is what it is envy is a strong emotion. Put it together, if Lil Weezy can get a million people to buy an album then with the right focus he can get a million people to fight for a cause, and by the wat David Banner is a highly educated brother with his Masters Degree in english, he volunteers his time in the hood and has spoken at congress so don’t be fooled by your own ignorance.

  32. TERROR Says:

NAS COULD SAY WHAT HE WANT. FUCK ALL NAS HATERS

  33. Only humans Says:

I understand Nas completely on that!! Obama’s about to make history in America, renovations for the great, changes that will benefit our lives tremendously, and the nreve of Jesse Jackson to make that kind of statement. That’s disgusting in manner and basically made a fool of himself.
But…I’m not a hater(GOD NO), but Nas can use better examples.Young Jeezy glorfies violence & drugs (I can deal with Dreamin Ft. Keisha Cole) and David Banner- he caught me a couple of times on Hip-Hop vs. America…what’s another word for materialism? Anyway, even the worst rappers can be supportive towards Presidental campagins, so they’re not as bad as I thought when it comes to being human beings. Now, If only they produce real music, write real, creative, dedicating, passionate, motivating lyrics more often instead of their materialistic, gangsta-like image all the time, shit wouldnt be as dissapointing as it is now! WE COULD ACTUALLY GET SOMEWHERE!! And for some of you all on here, since we (as society) are so fucked up, during this time and after the election, be a little more optimistic. Pray for the better instead of predicting the worst.

  34. mike d Says:

Jessie is part of the illuminati, hes no different than the blacks on fox news. He has the ability to play both ends, thats why alot of blacks and white accept him. but many poeple knows hes full of shit all talk and no action. If I was in his position I would do something tangible and help with neccesities in the black community. Open grocery store in the neighborhood with good food. Start small businesses that can hire kids for summer jobs. All he does is talk about what should happen but his actions are not there. Anyone can talk a good game but concrete and structured action speaks for itself. He has the resources but hes out for self.

  35. Creep Says:

Jesse has always been a bitch! Ask ya pops about that motherfucker! When King got shot on the balcony, jesse was downstairs running his ass off. An hour later he finally comes back upstairs and smears MLK’s blood on his shirt. Then he claims Dr. King died in his arms. He was on TV three days later with THE SAME BLOODY T-SHIRT on!!! Look it up. He has never been my leader. Him and Al Sharpton are an embarrassment. But so is Jeezy and Nas for that matter. I like ya music, but you ain’t no Obama.

  36. ...FUCKMICHAELJACKSON Says:

    Jesse Jackson is my bitch!
