Think about it what does Times mag get out putting Lil’ Wayne in it but them flying out the stores. They are smart for putting him in but dumb for the comment “Best Rapper Alive” it’s one thing for an Artist to believe it, But for a NON HIPHOP/MUSIC MAG to say something like that is just wrong. If they wanna go off Numbers alone, TUPAC(Over 75 Million Sold World Wide), Jay-z(Over 50 Million Sold World Wide), 50 Cent(Over 13 Million sold off his 1st album alone). Jay Z Big Pac Nas KRS 1 LL even 50 got classics ya dig. Son got mixtapes but as far as storylines not there. A real hip hop fan follows a storyline not just hotlines an bars. Most his songsa are official hot joints meaning they lack substance. SUBSTANCE he’s not giving u anything but his freestyle ability which is incredible but that don’t make it classic. You can’t fool a real hip hop fan. Like we say in NY Sh!t sounds Good.

Let me start by saying I DO like Lil Weezy, but he isn’t close to the best rapper alive. I’ve listened to that Carter III album over and over trying to find some way to certify it as a classic…and I can’t! He doesn’t spit enough fire to be considered the best rapper alive. Some of his 16’s are just straight garbage. It is a GOOD album…but not GREAT!! Just because you sell alot, doesn’t mean your the best! Wayne is cool, however i think he overhyped. Carter III definitely isn’t a classic, dude rambles on more than anybody i know. He told the public he was the best for a couple years, and brainwashed everybody. That combined with saturating the market sealed the deal. You gotta remember most people are sheep, they’ll just go along with what they are told. But no you cant be the best rapper alive with lines like “I fly hard like goose erections” . fuck outta here. I bought his album and it was very good, but he is definitely not the best rapper alive in no way, shape or form and that’s just being realistic, but i do respect him and his artistic way of expressing himself and not to mention that he touched on issues on this album that i was happy to hear coming from him. So this is just his time and year and deserves it, and hopefully as time goes on he’ll grow and become more better at his craft

Hov is the GOAT Wayne is nowhere near the best rappers list yet he has a long way to go he may be selling records and have alot of stans but the same happened to 50 in 03 and a couple years later he isnt considered great anymore that is why you have to respect people like Hov, nas because they come out in the 90’s era and are still both the most relevant rappers it is hard to stay on Hov does it every year check the stats 10 #1 albums all platinum if Wayne continues his success he is having now for another 10 years then he is officially a legend but for now lets wait until the hype dies down and then see what he has got will he make the same mistakes 50 made or will he stay consistant like Hov.
