Yeah you’re right. I think it’s because Alicia never really wanted to be a sexsymbol. Her music has always been the main thing. She didn’t come into the game being half naked looking slutty trying to sell records using sex. That’s the reason why some people thought she was a lesbian at the start of her career.

A lot of female artists out there try so damn hard to be sexy it sometimes feel like it’s more important sometimes for some chicks to rather be desired for what they look like in a sexual way then their music.
