Watch the 3rd round again Thompson was defending himself he had just backe Kimbo off with a counter punch. was Thompson hurt yes would he have benn knocked out if he didnt get the fight back on the ground probably, but the fight should have been over in the second round. you cannot allow fighters to take blows for a min and a half with out defense and with out answering. Kimbo could be a good MMA fighter he can knock out any one in the game. But they are giving him wins to build him up and make money. that stoppage did no one any favors

Sure he’s not the best fighter in the world but he makes MMA mainstream because of his popularity. A lot of pppl who don’t know anything about MMA still knows who Kimbo Slice is and that’s a good thing for the sport. Kimbo is cool with a great personality and he’s still very green. He has only been fighting as a pro for a couple of years now.

Kimbo has this whole organization on his back, for the first big premiere of coarse they are gonna feed him some chump that he should have beat down in the first round. The dude was prob even picked because he has been knocked out so easy in the past. This aint the backyard, if Kimbo wants to enjoy success at the top he needs to stop relying on his knockout power and work on cardio and more ground skills. He did show some skill at working up from the ground…some skill.

That fight was bull@$%^*, I mean they sent Kimbo into the ring with a guy with a jelly donught for a left ear and OFCOURSE he burst it whith a couple of punches and the ref had to stop the fight. I belive KS would have caught a beat down from a fighter with similar strenght whose ears wasnt jacked from the jump

1. The ref should have stopped the fight at the end of round 2 when Kimbo was getting pounded on the floor and not defending himself.

2. The ref didn’t stop the fight because of Thomspons ear. The ref stopped the fight because Kimbo was hitting Thompson and Thompson was dazed, and confused. Kimbo coul have finished him at any moment.

3. Kimbo has a lot of work to do. He needs to work on his stamina and also on his ground game.
