The guy he fought wasn’t a chump. He was somebody with waaaay more experience then Kimbo and I think bigger to. He took a bunch of Huge shots from Kimbo but stayed standing because of a strong chin. Far from a chump. Anybody who thinks he’s a chump doesn’t know shit about MMA.

thompson had the swollen ear goin into the fight and he didnt pop it till the 3rd round.. and yes thompson is a bum he is 2-7 in his last 9 fights…this was a terrible display of mma.. this isnt a backyard… and thompson last 2 fights were combined 40-50 secs long.. hes got a glass jaw and kimbo couldnt finish him

Kimbo couldn’t knock him out for real his ear was severely cauliflowered before the fight even started. Thompson is a joke, Butterbean KO’d him in less then a minute a year ago and it Kimbo should have done the same. If you put Kimbo in the the ring with a proper MMA fighter like Randy Couture he would get destroyed no questions asked.

and even when they stood straight up kimbo still aint drop him

Yo…first of all Thompson’s ear is hideous…. That shit looked sooo fucking nasty….He need to get some surgery done on that shit.

Secondly….I am giving mad props to KIMMMBOOOO SLLLIIICCEEE. Everybody was calling this cat a straight brawler but he showed some skill when Thompson took him to the ground in the first and early second rounds. To me, that second round was Thompson’s best chance. He had Kimbo on the ground and was straight pounding dude with elbows. But lucky for Kimbo the bell rang.

I don’t blame the ref for calling the fight cause for one, that dude’s ear was streaming blood and two he looked like he was about to fall over with another hit anywayz.

The fight was stopped because Thompson wasnt defending himself, had nothing to do with the ear, shit was just colliflowered, happens all the time in MMA and boxing, his corner still should have drained that shit with a needle or something still.

Also Thompson is shit LOL, outta the top ten MMA knockouts hes been a victim to at least 3 of them.

Kimbo needs to work on his cardio and join a Jiu-Jitsu camp and he’d be unstoppable.

Oh…and the ref made a perfect stoppage to the fight. In the second round when kimbo was trapped on the cage, thompson was not landing any heavy shots and kimbos neck never went limp, defending with your face works sometimes. Did you really wanna see the fight go the extra few seconds in the third round to see thompson get knocked out or worse loose and ear. the ref keeps the fighters safe and thats what he did.

The ref did a good thing to stop the fight but Thompson won the both the first ans thesecond round. Anyone with some MMA knowledge knows that Kimbo is far from a worldclass fighter. They will never put him in the octagon with a worldclass fighter cause then he’ll be brutaly destroyed. I wonder how many bum fighters they’re going to feed him with before ppl demand him to step up and fight someone good?

A lot of ppl seem to think he’s the next big thing and MMA organisation is using that to hype him up. Kimbo puts asses in the seats so he’s means big money. I find it very hard to believe that Kimbo will be able to learn at this age everything it takes to be a top fighter.

1. The ref should have stopped the fight at the end of round 2 when Kimbo was getting pounded on the floor and not defending himself.

2. The ref didn’t stop the fight because of Thomspons ear. The ref stopped the fight because Kimbo was hitting Thompson and Thompson was dazed, and confused. Kimbo coul have finished him at any moment.

3. Kimbo has a lot of work to do. He needs to work on his stamina and also on his ground game.

Kimbo has this whole organization on his back, for the first big premiere of coarse they are gonna feed him some chump that he should have beat down in the first round. The dude was prob even picked because he has been knocked out so easy in the past. This aint the backyard, if Kimbo wants to enjoy success at the top he needs to stop relying on his knockout power and work on cardio and more ground skills. He did show some skill at working up from the ground…some skill.

Sure he’s not the best fighter in the world but he makes MMA mainstream because of his popularity. A lot of pppl who don’t know anything about MMA still knows who Kimbo Slice is and that’s a good thing for the sport. Kimbo is cool with a great personality and he’s still very green. He has only been fighting as a pro for a couple of years now.

Watch the 3rd round again Thompson was defending himself he had just backe Kimbo off with a counter punch. was Thompson hurt yes would he have benn knocked out if he didnt get the fight back on the ground probably, but the fight should have been over in the second round. you cannot allow fighters to take blows for a min and a half with out defense and with out answering. Kimbo could be a good MMA fighter he can knock out any one in the game. But they are giving him wins to build him up and make money. that stoppage did no one any favors
