I don’t know about this one, cats got bills to pay, families to feed and whips/chains to pay off. J.D. need to remember he caking way more than over 95% of the industry. Artists look at the , “Money Aint A Thang, ” video wishing they had it like that. So really people paid more and more attention to the money, the more and more they seen it shown off in videos.

Dupri is right there isnt that love for the game like there was in the 90s it is all about money and the charts now and that doesnt gaurentee good music. Back in the day you had to make a good album to make money now it is one good single with most of the other tracks on the album been trash.

I mean does make a good point but the probably that i have with him is that his is one of the wackest producer of right now. And alot of his beat when he give them to rap artist or RnB artist or whatever there album don’t even sell for example janet jackson MS FLOPPER. JD has been in the game a long time. He’s a great producer especially in the 90s and early 2000 that’s when he did his best work. He’s not as hot anymore but that’s just how it is you can’t be on top all the time but there’s no doubt he’s a good producer and there are still artists working with him. He does have a good reputation.

i have to agree wit jd on this one, anytime you mix money with any type of artistry it fucks things up. cats will be more concerned about gettin that doe rather than puttin out quaity shit for the love of it. don’t get me wrong, as with all business, you have to make a profit on what you’re selling, but at the same time when money becomes the motivating factor in your work, you become blinded by it, and may end up compromising the quality of your work.
