R&B Live Pics: Lil Kim, Akon, Ne-Yo, Etc…
On one of the hottest (and windiest) nights in NYC, R&B Live celebrated a year of great music with host Akon and the Konlive Records family. The festivities began with opening Konlive act Colby O’Donis, a guitar-playing, teenage Latin heartthrob who was joined onstage with Akon for the song “What You Got.” Sexy R&B singer Ray Lavender continued the heat with his hit single “My Girl’s Got A Girlfriend.” Then Brooklyn’s own Red Café rocked the stage with the NY favorite “Paper Touchin.” Virgin Islands/Atlanta duo Rock City accelerated the energy in the room with the scorching song “A Millie,” which threw the crowd into a napkin-waving frenzy. Canadian-born Jamaican rapper Kardinal Offishall kept spirits high with the radio smash “Dangerous,” alongside Akon. Finally, Akon closed out the show with a medley of ‘Kon favorites including “Smack That,” “I Wanna Love You,” and “Soul Survivor.”
