Janet Jackson returns to the stage for her, “Rock Witchu,” Tour this September. Its been years since her last tour, but is a well known fact that she puts on a crazy performance for her fans. I will post he full itinerary of the tour when it becomes available. From the interview you can tell she aims to please and will be putting on a show worth the money. She also has a book coming out this fall about her life but it will not be an autobiography.
Janet also goes on to say Def Jam has stopped all promotion on, “Discipline,” and there will most likely not be another single. The album has sold over 390,000 records to date.
About the tour:
It’s a completely different show, like nothing before in the past. My real goal is to try and do every single I’ve ever had, so I have to figure out how to fit that into two hours.”About the label:
“I’m trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album, so I don’t think you’re going to hear another single off this album.”About writing the book for the fans:
“They’ve seen the different stages of my life, where I’ve been physically and even mentally, emotionally. So, I wanted to write something that I felt would hopefully be inspiring to them, to let them know what had gone on in my life.”-Janet Jackson

I said it before and I will say it again. The woman is in denial about her career as a singer. It’s a wrap due to her “creative affiliations” and I am being nice about this. This woman has went from ICON to “GHETTO CHIC”. Who can take her serious upon collaborating with under developed or short talented artists such as Plies/Bust it Baby…really? and Khia/So Excited…are you for real? This is like an honest man’s attempt at trying to make fast woman honorable…I can’t see Janet pumping the numbers as she once had in her day with really creative geniuses such as Terry Lewis and Jimmy Harris. If she wants to be taken seriously, she may want to go back to the people that brought her to the forefront of music fame (meaning the Lewis and Harris) because the more she deals with her current affiliations professionally(Jermain Dupri and his So So wanna be talent entourage of singers/musicians/rappers,etc) below her, she will become irrelevant. She needs to realize that Jermaine is tainting her career and her image and her own ability to create. I would have thought from the time that she has been in the entertainment industry (which is far longer than he has) that she would have enough sense to not leave her career solely in his hands and give complete trust in his judgement when it came to it.

both of you need to shut the hell up. you have no idea what you’re talking about. LA Reid is known for promising his artists big things, then shitting on them in the end (Toni Braxton, TLC, etc.) it’s easy for dumb ass haters to believe that the problem is Janet when we all know what the REAL deal is. lots of artists disagree with the label when it comes to picking singles, but they did not have to stop promotion just because Janet disagreed with them. that was just plain fucked up, there’s no other way to explain it. and radio is still holding that stupid SB thing against her, that’s why they refuse to play her music. so all this bullshit about her music not being good anymore, or she needs to change this or that, is just that. Bullshit.

thats so fuckin’ sad…I love that woman. Yeah L.A. Reid has messed up Toni Braxton, TLC, Pink, Whitney, and numerous others. Janet didn’t even want to speak on this but she didn’t wanna lie to the fans and she didn’t wanna make it seem like she was avoiding the question. More people need to be put on blast like this. For those who say her music isn’t good did you know “Feedback” went gold months ago(500,000 copies sold). Y’all ain’t nothing but some haters. If Def Jam would of pushed this album and promoted it like they did Mariah then Janet would be all over the place. Its sad how they try to keep a black woman down after all she’s been through and you dumb black people talking shit should know better stupid asses. Mariah let’s L.A. Reid control her every moves…she’s a puppet but Janet don’t play that shit and she’s not all about money…she does what’s in her heart and thats why she’s adored by millions and will always be whether she sells or not.

Let’s face it. If you ain’t Mariah or Rihanna, Def Jam doesn’t give 2 shits about you! I guess we ALL now know it wasn’t Jay, it was LA Reid because Def Jam’s BEEN in bad shape for a long ass time BEFORE Jay got there. But, Shakir Stewart sounds like he’s trying to whip things into shape–hopefully LA and the other execs will let him and not stand in the way like I heard they did with Jay. At the end of the day, the top execs run everything despite who has the title of President, or whatever Shakir’s title is (because it ain’t President).
