I See Plies First Week Of Over 200k Is Being Overlooked
Big Gates/Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic recording artist Plies makes an impressive debut this week with the release of his sophomore album. “DEFINITION OF REAL” lands at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling more than 200,000 copies in its first week, doubling first week sales of his first album, “THE REAL TESTAMENT.”
200k is a lot these days and he doubled the first week sales of his first album. I see the southern rap fans support their artist, with Rick Ross also doing big with his album. So despite what some may say about Plies whatever he is doing is obviously working.
Is Plies underrated?

#5 your a HATER!!! Plies is one of the realest rappers out right now! His music has substance. Have you even heard this album? I dont think you have. Listen to songs like “Worth Goin To Feds” and “Somebody Loves You”. He has alot of songs for the ladies on his album as well. Thats why they love him. His last album was good too! I fucks with plies, real recognize real. He from the streets but know how to articulate himself so it comes across surprising in interviews. Happened to me at work for the first year I was there. His last album went gold, i see him doin similar #’s.

How can u listen to the above line that Plies had and say he does not have anything in his songs that are of substance. He paints clear pictures of what is going on in the hood and the mentality of the hood, whether he is a goon or not, does not have shit to do with what he says..He is speaking the truth..N at the end of the day he speaks all that goon stuff..but a song like “Worth Goin To Feds” is definitely a banger…If most peepz figured it was not worth it and put their creative minds to something else, jails would not be filled with blacks and hispanics.
