Clubbin’ During the Season/Playoffs – Good or Bad Idea?

First, let me begin by clarifying that the above video is an example of a nba player going out during the finals.  This discussion should not turn to laker haters vs. laker lovers.  I am just curious about what everyone out there thinks about the topic at hand.  According to TMZ.com, Lamar Odom arrived at a Hollywood club past midnight knowing his team flight departs at 10am the following day to Boston.  We’ve seen other athletes partying all night both during the season and playoffs of different sports, (just ask carmelo anthony and A.I.)  the question is should they?  NFL players suffer from this problem the most (see the bengals and Pac Man Jones) One might think its a good way to clear his head and get his mind away from the game for a few hours as long as he’s not hung over the next day for practice or a game.  Another perspective says he should get rest and be focused for the most important time of the season.  Players have up to 6 months off each year during the off-season to party if they want, they should be focused during the season (for which they get paid millions).  What are your thoughts…?

Going out to clubs and parties during the playoffs is definitely a bad look for any professional athlete.

It isn’t really mentioned if a player / team is performing well, but when they are losing everything is critiqued.

    Either way…

Series ends tonight in Boston.. See you there!

  5. Pounce Says:

Its a bad idea for multiple reasons. And its a horrible idea when you not at home. You a target when you got cheese, now thats good when it comes to bitches but bad when it comes to haters. Nigga started some shit with McFadden and gave the media some shit to talk about that could have hurt his draft stock. That was after the college football season had ended. Let alone during the playoffs, superbowl or finals. If you play professional ball in any sport im sure you got a few bitches you could call to the pad smoke, drink, music whatever you do and have a decent night. Chill until business is takin care of.

  6. HAHAHAHAHA Says:

I HATE TO WATCH A LAKERS GAME AND SEE ODOMS FACE N NO FIRE/TENACITY IN HIS EYES

ITS OBVIOUS THE CELTICS ARE MORE FOCUSED AND WANT TO WIN IT MORE!!

    N IM A LAKER FAN

  7. ... Says:

he has the whole FLIGHT to sleep. think about that first.

    i think its good.

they have a crazy ass season.

    training, workouts, sleep.

they know what they should be doing.

maybe odom is built so tough that “rest” isn’t what he needs.

im not sayin he’s a beast, or a machine, but come on, the source is TMZ, of course they’re gonna hype shit up.

if he does this shit nightly and sucks, thats a different story.

but lamar puts up solid numbers.

  8. to ...... Says:

SO WHAT IF LAMAR PUTS UP SIMPLY SOLID NUMBERS? odom is capable of playing much better…the frickin season and all the marbles are on the line dude…it shows how important these 2 upcoming games are to odom…dude is soft defensively he a lazy underachiever REAL TALK
